As a kid growing up in the 70' and 80's Cobb&Co was the traveling treat... Dad would always stop in Paraparaumu. The service was the best I've had in NZ (more individual talent than everyone but still...) The traditional warm bread is awesome but it's not free anymore! Loved the experience... Well done! 👊✌️🤟😇😎🙏 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $70–80 Recommended dishes Sticky Date Pudding
Went to Cobb & Co today for my sons birthday lunch, they were super accommodating, allowed me to put up the decorations last night and earlier today even tho they were closed. Meals were 10/10 for all of us! There was 23 of us and no complaints at all. Food was brought out to us soo quickly but quality was still really good and well presented. Service was amazing from all staff especially our waitress, I didn't get your name today but thank you very very much, my son absolutely loved today which I am very grateful for. They have a wee robot with cat ears which serves the food. Sure it's a bit of a gimmick but we found it adorable and so did many other guests. Service was great. Food came quickly and staff were really helpful. The food itself was fantastic. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was a Cobb & Co virgin until tonight but sadly I was left incredibly disappointed. First, it’s merits. I won’t take away from Cobb & Co their drinks list were amazing and me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed the Sol-arita and Traffic Light Giant Slushies. They are massive, sweet, so tasty and very moreish. Can confirm you won’t taste the alcohol and that’s the dangerous part. However, our good experience basically ended there. To the staff’s credit it was a busy night, however we were not waited on the entire hour and half we waited for our meals. After 20 mins of waiting we flagged down our waitress to ask for kitchen times as we were hoping if the wait was long, we’d order some starters to hold us over. She went to ask the kitchen, forgot about us, then another 10 mins we flagged her down again to ask once more. She eventually came to us to advised us “20 more minutes”. 45 minutes later with still no food, no one coming to ask us if we’d like more drinks or starters or anything, we got up and found the waitress who advises us “5 minutes”. Over this time we have watched many groups come and go and at least one table that came in after us receive their food before us. Every time we saw that little robot come by and pass us, we just feel like we may have been forgotten about (also yes, robot servers bring you you’re food which is pretty darn coo!). Our food does eventually arrive and 3/4 meals are good. The ribs are good size and very saucey. The prawn parmesan sirloin steak was cooked perfect rare and so was the the other steak ordered. However our final steak (ordered Medium Well Done) was so incredible tough it was almost charcoal. Overall we arrived at 7pm and left at 9:10pm with only 20 mins worth of eating time and the rest spent waiting. The frustrating thing, this grumble could have been avoided with some minimal customer service effort on the staff’s end. By end of night we received no sort of apology or compensation for our wait and were just so incredibly disappointed. I don’t want to go as far as saying ‘avoid at all cost’ but I hope this can be a learning moment for the staff on how customer service really goes the mile. We went here thinking it would be a cheaper alternative to the restaurants in Eat Street, was very expensive with sub standard food. Hubby had a shrimp cocktail with what seemed like small frozen prawns drowned in thousand Island dressing. For main the lemon pan fried fish was bland not enjoyable at all. I had the haloumi salad which had massive chunks of carrot & cauliflower which made up the bulk of the 'salad'. The garlic bread even seemed like a frozen undercooked loaf. That was bad enough but even worst was the delivery of food to our table via a Robot, it didn't work I had to find a human to get the bot back from the kitchen and our meals were cold, luke warm at best. We want human service not a bot if we had known this there is no way we would have even entered Cobb & co. We paid more here for below average food & service than what we did at Urban Bistro the previous night (which was fantastic).Do not recommend at all. Enjoyed my meal (beer battered fish with chips and salad) with pleasure. Catering for senior citizens with proof of gold card. Wheelchair access awesome. Plenty of parking. They hold award for best lamb and steak meals. Served with creamy mash or chips. Highlight of the day which is definitely new to me, was food driven to your table by a mechanical robot, then served to you by a waiter. Waiters extremely polite attending to your whims with a smile. Enjoyment provided for children by means of free computer games and puzzles with pencils on the back of your placemats. Wonderful for families with or without children. Plenty room provided between tables. I certainly enjoyed my time there. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Came for entree, dinner and drinks. Service was average. A bit confusing with the robots delivering the food yet still requiring a server to be with the robot. The food was okay, not served hot and not anything spectacular. The drinks however were delicious! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–60 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
