This is my second time and I booked a table on Sunday to try roast and I end up feeling feel very disappointed. I ordered fish for main and I ate a plastic thing from the dish. I asked waiter, he took it back and just came back and told me it’s something from the salt. No apologies no change of dish and no remove of service charge. The waiter just took away my plate so I couldn’t take a photo as proof. It took us 1 hour until we get main dish, and after 40 min the waiter came and took away all the dish plates and told us it’s only 10 min for the table as the next reservation is coming. The service is horrible and a Pratt from it the food was very plain. The fish is just simple grilled with salt and lemon. The beef brisket is 3/5. And salad was so plain and full of parsley. The bread and steak were a standout. The wine was lovely. Cocktails were average - would expect a bit more interesting ingredients for the price. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Food was innovative and interesting. A wee bit of kerfuffle with some of the service but nothing horrific. Felt a little bit rushed at the end but at a very good meal and they did tell us we had to be out by the time that we left. Arrived early on our 1st visit to the restaurant and for me it’s not just the exceptional food but exceptional customer care that makes the difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant - this was great - it was not a problem we were a little early and were shown to the bar where we were given a super overview of what we were about to experience and a suggestion of how we should order to get the most out of the menu. the menus are seasonal and the food a fusion of European/Middle Eastern. We had brioche and dips which were outstanding , 4x small dishes which we shared between 2 people and it was no problem to ask for another brioche or another small plate. Our taste buds were blown away by the different rich to light flavours. Our daughter absolutely loved her medium dish of pasta. The range of drinks at the bar was extensive. The staff at each point were friendly and nothing was a bother at all. We were so excited by the food (including desserts) we forgot to take photos before we ate. The atmosphere was buzzing with lots of chatter and music playing lightly in the background. We can’t wait to return on our next visit to London in the summer to see what delicious delights will be on the menu. I see in some reviews people were not happy about the cost - from what I could see there is no minimum charge and honestly you could have a brioche £5 and a couple of dips £2.50 each with if you just wanted a light snack and sit at the bar to eat - the small dishes were reasonably priced from £6-£10 as were the medium and big plates - there was something reasonably priced in each category. We thought with drinks, sparkling water lots and lots of food that £164 (£54 each) including a service charge was to be expected for an extraordinary experience. Good food (especially the dips, the octopus, the cod, the trout and the orange claw), good service and nice decor (the space is much bigger than it looks) - our only issue is that it was quite pricy for the size of the portions and the music was super loud where we were seated (by the counters). Sitting at the Chefs table was a delight as it gave a close up view of the skills and experience of the Restaurant’s team. The Coal Office is packed and rightly so. The food is authentic Israeli at its best. Based around warming spices and lots of salads you will not be disappointed. Go for a mix of want is described as small, large or very large plates and share! Be interdependent not independent! I’ve visited a few times and never disappointed l! Like most, I visited the Tom Ford design emporium below. In the Coal Office you will eat and slip and sit on all that is Tom Ford ! Book and enjoy ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were tempted by the Sunday roast set menu and, boy, it didn’t disappoint. There were a table full of sharing starters to begin with (and an extra bread for my vegan partner) The mains tasty too and came with grilled veg and potatoes. Very happy with the lunch and look forward to coming back. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person £30–40
