ChinBao is a GEM 💎💎💎 I was craving ramen and, after reading the great reviews, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! Their menu features Asian cousine staples such as ramen, yakissoba, pad thai, miso udon, dumplings and baos. We had a complimentary welcome tea and their imported Japanese beer was served amazingly cold! Our server was attentive and kind. The food was excepcional, prepared with love and really high standards of taste, presentation, and authenticity. Chef Israel, the owner, is doing a fabulous job and we can only hope you give him a shot to win your belly as he won ours! Whatever you do, don’t miss this restaurant - you will regret it if you do! Chinbao has pretty authentic ramen. Pork in the tonkotsu was on point and tasty, noodles were perfectly cooked, and they did NOT overboil the egg. The yolk was orange and jelly like. Just the way I like it. I really appreciated that!! Broth was flavorful too. Could be even tastier ;) don’t hold back on those spices. I ordered it as delivery, and was glad to see they don’t use styrofoam containers like the rest of La Paz does. Great work! Keep it up!
This restaurant is 1000% Asian Approved! As an Asian American tourist temporarily staying in La Paz, we do miss the diversity of food Los Angeles has to offer. We searched for Asian inspired restaurants and almost gave up until we found this spot! This is our favorite spot and will surely miss the pork belly plate and the amazing wontons! Do not pass this place up! The pricing is decent and the food is amazing. We thank you for your kind hospitality! The owner/chef speaks English which is another amazing plus being that we were able to communicate with him well. He made sure we were happy with the food and we can tell he genuinely cares about how his customers feel about his creations. Thank you so much! I’ll have to stop by again before we leave in mid September. Food is crafted so amazing; it looks too good to eat!
Time for an honest review, since half of the reviews here are 1 hit wonders, not uncommon no matter how useless, nimodo. I have become a ramen aficionado over the years and have a little Japan experience. Based on that my entirely subjective opinion: good portion, generous by other local standards, poor quality pork that instead of melting in your mouth like Cashu, required you to struggle with and spit out 20%. We can all agree that everything served as food should be digestible. Rich, creamy Tonkotsu stock while heavy on the garlic, 2 nice mushrooms, and otherwise good balance. Noodles arrive way too al dente, but letting my bowl sit for a couple of minutes fixed that. Mind you the average Japanese ramen shop customer is in and out in under 5 minutes, for that reason the ramen should be ready to eat upon serving. At about 40% higher price than an established downtown La Paz ramen shop would charge, considering ChinBao is located in a working class strip mall, while being a tastefully decorated restaurant with pleasant staff, is a bit of a stretch on the value scale, but not a turn off. I will return for other dishes and will root for their success. Meal type Lunch
Everything is delicious! I lived in Los Angeles most of my life and the Asian food game is very strong. I was definitely missing good authentic food and this totally satisfied my cravings.
I absolutely love this place! I'm originally from Taiwan and I had lived in California most of my life Good, authentic, decent Asian food is VERY important to me I was so glad when I found ChinBao!!! Soooo glad!! It looks decent and legit and it definitely satisfied my craving for good Chinese food!! I'm sooo happy ChinBao is here in La Paz!! Did I mention I'm also a vegetarian?? The mushroom dumplings were so good!! The guabao was good too, but I suggest to go lighter on the sauce and focus more on the flavor of the tofu in the guabao, cuz the sauce was good but it became overpowering when there's too much sauce. The mushroom in my gunbao was REALLY good tho! :D Definitely will come back and highly recommend this place!!! :D

One of the hidden gems of la paz. None of the chinese offers come close to the chef's take on glazed pork belly, baos, soups... it's amazing. I went back today... Man it just gets better and better. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $300–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
