This restaurant and New Zealand Rugby Museum can be both really attractive for tourists. Ignore other places, discover the Chinese menu at Chinatown. Eating good chao, Bbq pork and roasted duck is a nice experience here. Taste tasty ice cream, Pavlova and cheesecakes. It provides very affordable Buffet Lunch, which is only $20. If you compare to the Asian Cafe in the Plaza, it's the same price to get only one plate of food. Best yum cha around this city, delicious. Wontons are the standout dish here will be my go to from now on. Pork ribs are very tender, but missing the fresh red chili on top. Prawn dumplings and pork dumplings I could not fault . Chicken and glutinous rice was lacking Chinese sausage and a delicious kick. Still very happy with service and food.

Yum cha available on weekends woth trolley or menu. Vegetarians beware, double-check for hidden meat or meat types in items, as staff will say no meat by default when there is meat. Went for an impromptu Sunday lunch for 4 adults. Expected to have smorgasbord but had yum cha. Great variety and great flavours. Particular favourite was the BBQ pork and the mango pudding. I was going to say this this place is cheap and cheerful but the prices were actually relatively high. My main meal came out bedfore the entre which is never good. The dish was not very tasty. My friends that had the buffet said they wouldn’t do that again. We had trouble getting the waiters attention for more drinks service. If your vegaterian don't bother going. Didn't even have a vegie fried rice. Pudding very disappointing, I don't expect tinned fruit and tip top ice cream when I'm paying $35 per head. The pavlova was smoked, never heard of a smoked pav before till I googled it. Smoked is a very acquired taste, should of been a visual clear sign stating this but there was. Definitely not up to standard for value for money, $150 we payed for all of us. Don't bother with this place, your local Chinese takeaway will be just as good, maybe even better and cheaper. Best Chinese Yum Cha in town. Good atmosphere and fresh food. Have to wait for seats, but can be booked over the phone. Friendly staff and efficient services. 7 of us went for all you could eat lunch. Found all chairs had food on them so had to clean before we all sat down. Food was OK and seemed a reasonable variety. Place seemed a bit tired and run down. I went to the China 🇨🇳 Inn Restaurant. I was disappointed by the food. As it was traditional Chinese food not Chinese Takeaways. I did not like how the pork was cooked. Orange juice nice.
