Sitting on the Malecon sipping drinks and eating oysters, heaven! Eating the largest tender oysters we've ever seen, sublime! They were easy to cut, but the server cut for us to explain the flavors in different parts of the oyster. When you're just used to shooting them, the large ones are a real treat. The center is sweeter and the exterior is saltier. Who knew? So so good! Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Casamar Restaurant offers an amazing view and a knowledgeable staff. Juan, our server, recommended delicious plates based on his own experiences and was able to expertly describe each dish. The mixologist delivered well-balanced drinks that were incredible. We spent the entire afternoon and part of the night enjoying the great food and drinks. We didn’t feel rushed, in fact they were attentive to what we needed. Overall, it was a delightful experience. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100–200

This place was recommended to us and I’m so glad we came! My food and service was amazing. Carlos gave the best recommendations for food and drinks. Our oysters were fresh and delicious. The cocktail (mezcalita) that was also recommended by Carlos was so delicious, I ordered 2!! I definitely recommend this place. The ceviche, oysters, and drinks were tasty, and the service was amazing too 😊 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fresh grilled fish was a delight. Daniela was our server and was attentive and kind. Overall came back next day to get some fish and shrimp tacos which were fire too.
Very cool spot to get mariscos, right on the malecón near the playa and they have delicious drinks. The lobster croquettes were honestly the best thing I’ve had all weekend Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $500–600 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Sashimi

Better than Bestia. That’s how I’d describe the new CasaMarte. Same cool ambiance—it’s a beautiful, old Spanish colonial building with modern art, macrame lanterns, and seating around the courtyard and porches, as well as inside. The fish tacos and frito misto we ordered tasted more like American-Mexican, but maybe it’s just what we ordered. Frito misto shrimp and calamari were excellent, but the giant batter-dipped potatoes on the bottom were soft in the middle, so not my style of fries. The complimentary chips, served with chunky red and a green salsa, were a highlight. Cocktails were crafty and good, but too sweet for our taste. $50 USD for two cocktails, a small bottle of water, two tacos and an entree, so not cheap, but you are on the Malecon. They have the coolest check presenter I’ve seen in La Paz!
Good drinks, excellent fish tacos and the chocolate oyster was surprisingly good! (I was skeptical when I saw the size of the thing, it's huge!) Our only issues is the staff seemed to be on "Mexico time" when it came to paying, we know this is a thing here in Mexico but it was unreal waiting over half an hour to pay the check, especially since it wasn't busy and plenty of staff at hand to take care of things.
