Ube Filled Donut
Absolutely amazing!!
Their mango cake is super fresh and perfect sweetness, ube, their classic donut and cake full of flavour and beautiful layers.
The owner was so patient and kind explaining every type of cake, and gifted us an ube cream cheese filling bread that probably costs 13 dollars after hearing us drove all the way from north dunedin💗 We were so amazed and grateful by her genuine kindness and will definitely come back again!

The Ube Cake taste good, and not too sweet. I really like the texture of the cream as it’s not too dense.
The lady boss was friendly as well. Strongly recommend to try the Philippine dessert!! It makes me wanna travel to Philippine for once just for nice food❤️

Craving the tastiest donuts in Dunedin? Look no further than Casa Valencia, the hidden gem bakery known for its incredible donut creations. Trust me, finding a good donut in New Zealand is no easy task, which is why we couldn't resist indulging in a box of 4 delicious treats.
With a variety of mouthwatering flavours to choose from, it was hard to pick from the available selection that day, but each donut exceeded our expectations with its generous filling. Unlike other places, Casa Valencia doesn't skimp on the good stuff!
Plus, the lovely lady who runs the place (and probably makes all the donuts too) was so warm and friendly. We're already planning our next visit to try even more flavors.
Believe me, you can't go wrong with any choice here. Donut miss out - we'll definitely be back!
They renovated the place and it's so much prettier and bigger!! Their enchiladas are so tasty so I wish they were bigger with more filling :( love all the food, lots of love 💋

Amazing food and the friendliest staff, they never miss. I come here almost every week when in Dunedin and highly recommend it. Great pies, desserts and the special menu items are always fire especially the beef soup and the congee, love it.
Customer service non existing. Stood waiting to be served this morning. Completely ignored. Didn't even look at me or say anything. Just went about serving only one other person. Not even busy. Very rude. Good food but poor service . I will not be back again. Walked out without even speaking.

We love trying out foods from lesser known cuisines, so were really excited to visit Cafe Valencia.
It's tucked away on Musselburgh Rise, and easy to miss if you're not looking for it. The shop itself is small. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and even threw in an extra doughnut on the house. We sampled a number of things:
- Hopiang Baboy: Flaky buns with caramelised onion inside. These were delicious. Recommended.
- Ube Custard Mamon: A sponge cake with ube, and a custard bottom. It was OK. Probably wouldn't buy again.
- Bavarian cream filled doughnut: Delicious. The doughnut was nice and soft, and the cream inside was not too sweet. Recommended.
- Twisted doughnut: A plain doughnut with dusted sugar. Quite 'bready' but still nice. It was also not too sweet, which I like.
- Chocolate doughnut: Found this a bit too heavy and bready. The chocolate icing was nice. Probably wouldn't order again.
Will be back for a return visit. Wish these guys well, it's great to see something a little different in Dunedin!

The only downside of this place is the fact its not close enough to my place or work place...Else I'd go literally everyday.
Very tasty baked goods. My favorite is the custurd ube cake(mamon)! They also make a dish every weekend and also have tasty desserts to make yourself familiar with! Also that halo halo and pork siomai 💯 I hope I catch them making halo halo more often!
