We really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was amazing, setting as well. During our meal a band was playing Mexican songs - we loved it. We recieved an appetizer, with homemade salsas and fresh nachos. I had a burrito and my bf ordered fajitas. Everything was nicely seasoned, meat was juicy. I highly recommend this place. Our favorite restaurant in Cancun! Casa Tequila is located in their Hotel Zone which is a great area for other bars and restaurants. So many great options here with Coal fired meats and seafood, delicious tacos and Mayan Specialty dishes like Cochinita Pibil. Their drinks and desserts were also amazing. I recommend the tamarind margarita. Here's what we ordered : Coal fired platters: Mexican (Angus flank steak, pork ribs, chicken breast and mexican sausage) Salmon (Coal-fired salmon infused with the aromatic flavor cedar) Fresh Tuna Carpaccio (Thinly sliced of tuna loin marinated with aguachile and olive oil, with cucumber, coriander and avocado) Cochinita Pibil (The most well-known dish in the mayan kitchen this shredded pork has been marinated with achiote and slow cooked for hours over low heat. Served with rice and handmade corn tortilla) Desserts : Coconut ice cream Flan Crepes of cajeta with vanilla ice cream meats, Mahi Mahi tacos, Tuna Carpaccio, and Cochinita Pibil. Sooo good! The margarita Ave mango daiquiri were good. They are very strict on not substituting out for a complement. I ordered the chicken breast au tequila, without the sauce, as I cant do dairy. It was very plain, but sometimes that’s what happens when you alter a dish. I really wanted to sub the rice for baked potato but they wouldn’t allow. Husband got nachos which he said was just okay. He likes a lot of melted cheese (queso) on nachos but they don’t seem to do that here Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $400–500 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
I went with a couple of friends to this place. The vibe was very welcoming. The musicians were a delight. I am a vegetarian and was prepared to face a no-decent option scenario. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great, we loved the ambience and the music, and finally our server Tania was very attentive. We also took some pictures with the fancy hats and blankets(I fail to recall what they are called) . It was one of our best evenings in Cancun. Great spot to escape from the pounding music of the Hotel Zone and enjoy a meal. Delicious food, went for lunch and dinner. In addition to the traditional menu, they have great variety of vegan options that taste great. The tacos al pastor were my favorite. This place was AMAZING! Great service, and incredible food, served FAST! Also, a nice vegan section on the menu if you have a family member with vegan needs. We had the grilled octopus, as well as the coconut shrimp and the vegan tacos al pastor. Everything was next level tasty. The server gave us tons of information about the food, it's provenance etc.... try the mango daquiri....you won't regret it! This place is amazing and well worth it!! The food was very tasty and nicely portioned. The large drinks are HUGE! The blended drinks are also very smooth and tasty. The service and atmosphere were also pretty great. Finally— our waiter, Mario, was exceptional 😁 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This is literally the only place that we found that serves craft brewery beers and not the boring regular ordinary beers. They have the best food we’ve tasted in all of Cancun that’s truly cooked with fine perfection. Some of the others places are very touristy and focus on the hocus pocus to bring in tourists, but not this place - this place is spectacular. They have Mayan specialties and we loved the queso rellanos - it was so creamy and dreamy and absolutely delish! We tried their charcoal grilled octopus with vegetables and it was so tender and not at all chewy. One of their craft beers was made from actual sea water! And don’t skip their deserts - they had a vegan white bean desert - I’ve never had anything like it in my life! Their flan was incredible and tasted so cheesy and delicious- never had a flan so good! Everything is wonderful here… I can eat here every day. They also have the best quality food in town! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
