Outstanding and unique dining experience. Single table in family garden. Fresh, rich, home-cooked food. Stunning and charming setting. Lovely family. Well worth the detour.
Strongly recommend reaching out ahead of time on Instagram to book an evening. There is only one table and one service per evening, this is not a conventional restaurant! Make sure you book ahead 🙂.
As of October 2023, an evening meal for one is 30 euros. They also serve wine by the glass.

Gulnur and Onur are very welcoming hosts and the food is delicious. As the name says, it is a home kitchen, which means that they have one table on their terrace so you need a reservation. This cicumstance makes the atmosphere even more special. Eventhough the prices are rather high (30€ pp for food and we are students) it really pays off. You will love the experience!

Coincidentally found this gem while exploring the map of Çandır Village and wanted to give it a try. And I'm very happy we did!
Çandır Home Kitchen is run by a lovely couple who serves super delicious homemade food on their patio. Their house is located at the southwest end of the village and right above the Ala Lake. The view from their patio provides a pleasant angle at the Dalyan Canal and the overall atmosphere is calm and quiet. It feels more like you are visiting a friend's house, simply cozy.
We were lucky to be able to make a same day reservation but they recommend one day ahead. Despite our last minute request, they came up with a superb menu for us, which included five mezes, two starters, a main, a fruit platter and a few surprises. It was so plentiful that we got full before the main. We enjoyed their playlist that suits the setting and the food a lot as well - something hard to find in most places.
It's possible to walk there from right across from Dalyan, meaning you need to cross the canal with a small boat to start your walk. It takes almost an hour from Dalyan to this place on foot, with some uphills and amazing view in general. We couldn't estimate the walk beforehand correctly and ended up arriving a tad earlier than agreed but they still extended a warm welcome. If walking is not your thing or if it's not possible, they also offer picking you up and dropping you back by their car, which is so nice of them.
I can't recommend this place enough if you like combining exploration with fantastic food and some sweet chat. This experience alone can be a reason to visit the area again in the following years.
