The employee was not very welcoming. The place was completely empty when I went there. The coffee is honestly outstanding, they definitely know what they are doing but it is quite hefty in price. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
The place is nice and quaint. Quite comfortable! But the food was definitely overpriced for its quality. I ordered the ramen and it was OK. Coffee was okay too. The carrot cake’s cream cheese frosting tasted like pure sugar and was hard to bear. Service is wonderful though :-) Good place to work as it has the space for it with tables and sockets and good wifi connection.
If you are looking to enjoy quality food, great ambience, and excellent service this is the place for you! Servers are friendly and considerate to your needs, this place feels warm and comfortable. Also, if you have food sensitivity they have a variety of options for those who are allergic to gluten, which is rare to find in other places. Service Dine in Meal type Other
California Cafe is an amazing place in Huaraz. The owners are Americans and they serve great food here. I took my mom and sister there few times to enjoy lunch and breakfast. BTW they serve breakfast all day! They have a large menu with yummy dishes. I must say that everything I tried here was good and delicious. The staff is friendly and so helpful. The decoration and the concept is amazing. In the back there is a little area to seat and read books from their bookcase (take them home and bring them back- just like a library). It is pricy if you compare to other places in the area but their food will no disappoint and it is totally worth it. Everything I tried was delicious! Love this place!

The breakfast is really good in terms of quality. The price is not cheap in Huaraz, but California Cafe provides great wifi, electricity, and a place to plan your journey. Their home made bread is the best in Peru and even in high quality compared with cafes in Hong Kong! This is a true hiking meeting cafe where you can meet other hikers and adventurers. You can find lots of books in the cafe that you can read, borrow, etc. The have weekly hikers meeting you can join to meet other people who might want to join you hiking experience. The menu is not very extensive but there are a lot of choices. The have excellent breakfast and smoothies. They close early on Sunday.
The place is cozy, clean and the food is delicious. The staff is really friendly. They open from 7am to 4pm. Its an ideal place if you are looking for american type of breakfasts. You can find pancakes, waffles, fruits, breads, cakes, flap jacks, coffee and more. I highly recommend this place! They also have books, puzzles and there is always a good vibe.

Ordered the “basic breakfast” desayuno #1 Came with two pieces of toast and some jam and a glass of juice. 21 soles. What a joke Waiter never looked up from his phone for the 30 minutes I was in there, even when taking my order

We came here when we wanted a break from Peruvian breakfast. Pancakes were fluffy and the hangover special was delicious. Definitely recommend eating here for breakfast if you’re in Huaraz.

A nice cafe to hang out in. The book exchange has plenty to choose from and there are lots of guide books to browse. The WiFi is great. Drinks are ok, they are very expensive for the area though. I spent more on one coffee than I did for my lunch at a different restaurant. Price per person PEN 20–30 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
