Absolutely delightful experience of authentic Uzbek food, in the nice and small restaurant just far enough from the Old City. I've come there while going back from the old Cementary. It is also not far, and from Lychakovski Cementary, it is down the road, very relaxing walk. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Baked Lamb

4.9/5 fantastic uzbeki food. I had the handmade lagman ugher noodles and beef samsa for about $9, or 310 uah. Fyi you get 15% off when you do takeout. But the food was amazing. The beef quality was so good and so tender. The noodles were some of the best noodles I've ever had; you could just taste how fresh they were and they really were handmade in every sense of that word. The samsa was amazing as well. The owner, I presume, speaks perfect English and is a really nice guy. Highly recommend! Service Take out Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We are Americans visiting Lviv doing humanitarian aid. Never have experienced Uzbek cuisine so we visited Chaykhana Samarkand and left with a delightful opinion of this food. The Uzbek salad had the freshest of lettuces, tomatoes, peppers, etc. accompanied by a refreshing dressing. The addition of chick peas was a nice surprise. Don’t miss the warm, fresh baked lavash. We were urged to try the 2 national dishes of Uzbekistan-Plov, a rice dish with lamb and vegetables and Samsa, turnovers with a meat filling and light flaky dough. Both were delicious. Service was efficient and extremely friendly. Would return again if we weren’t headed back to Florida, where sadly there’s no Uzbek food to be found. Wow, just wow! We had Plov, lamb with dried apricots, noodles and dumplings, paired with Moldovan wine and green tea. Maybe our best meal in Lviv with great service.
