Nice location, friendly staff, terrible food, ordered one BLT burger-frozen pork patty instead of beef patty and without jack daniels sauce as it was described in the menu, we also ordered one beef steak cheese burger that turned to be a disaster, you couldn't even chew the "steak". Not recommended Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Small cafe, fantastic "old world" atmosphere and delicious food. Great value, we had a snack early on when the pistachio croissant was scrumptious and coffee was spot on. Decided to go back for a latelunch, salmon pasta was yummy and the home made beef pie was fantastic. To top it off, the service was friendly, professional and prompt. Thanks for a job well done!!! Very welcoming owners and friendly staff, serving the best latte on the island, right in the centre of Victoria, Gozo. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It's yet another hot day on Gozo, and in more ways than one, the Café Royal, in its central Victoria location, is like a rush of fresh air. From day one about a week ago, and since, Phillip and crew has created a space where I find myself returning to day after day. Though people come and go in relentless waves through the morning and afternoon, the service is upstanding and bright -- and the coffee will have you wired and ready to take the hills and winding alleys of Victoria. The space itself is extremely cozy and rustic contemporary, and you are consistently reminded of a time before ours, with framed photos and memorabilia dating back to the 40's and 50's (and before). Overall, definitely a lovely place to grab a bite, sit and sip a cappuccino with a pen and paper, or just people watch in the outdoor patio area. :) Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person €1–5 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Amazing place! Service was perfect, more than 5 stars! Very friendly Sir to gave to me, my wife and my friends a very special attention. Beer was the coldest one that I tried in all Malta islands and the traditional Malta pie was delicious! Special attention for duck pie, but pulled beef was amazing too. Unfortunately was very quickly stop at Cafe Royal, but strongly recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A smallish but very old school cafe, just round the corner from the Citadel and in front of the square. Good place to rest those tired feet while enjoying hot beverages. Apart from the TV blasting MTV clips, everything's very traditional even down to the pictures and memobilias on the wall. Food menu is limited to burgers, pasties, sandwiches and the good old English breakfast (all day fry up). Reasonable prices and seems popular with the locals.
We really enjoyed our lunch here and went back a couple of times. The owners are a lovely couple who love to travel. Go in and meet Philip and Josette and have a great lunch in the Cafe Royal. 😊 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
