Cozy place... in centre of Vaals on outdoor covered terrace... excellent food... reasonably priced.... swift service

Very comfortable place with a wonderful decor. Food was entertaining: The Pastetchen is a clear recommendation from my side though next time I would skip the side salad - that was a clear miss for me. Decent fries and pancakes. Would recommend it to someone looking for an old-style meal from the durch-German border.

I came here to have a nice lunch with my friend and it was embarrassing seeing how the waiter treats the customers. We sat inside and had to wait maybe 3-4 minutes for her to get us the menu .When we were ready to order we asked if we could get the pasta without shrimp and she said it wasn’t possible as it was already ready which was already annoying so we ended up getting the pasta , a burger and a starter bread . We waited for her to get our starter since starters should arrive before the main course and she brought it all together. It was very annoying since starters should always come first .When i called her she rudely rolled her eyes at us while she came to our table. The burger was BLAND (also paying 17 euro for a burger they get from albert heijn is a bit absurd but okay..) i called the waiter over to show her the pasta and how it was oily and she was extremely prideful that there was no sauce but only oil.. yikes the bread was very hard and expensive. The prices are pretty much absurd and overpriced for bad bland and oily food nothing was good. The customer service is a 0/10 the waiter was rude and took so long to get us our check as if we had all day The food was bad as i just explained and it took so long to arrive 20-25 mins . What a very lovely restaurant!! Good food and wonderful stay off! :-) I hosted a small party here and Paola was an absolute Delight to work with! :-) the staff was great and she definitely went over and above to make sure we would be taking care of!!

One of the few restaurant options you have in Vaals after 9 pm. Excellent beers and tasty food at acceptable prices. Friendly staff and a covered patio to sit outside.
