Every experience we’ve had here has been beyond anything we could’ve asked or hoped for. The owner of Maniju Pension brought us here (she is AMAZING) and introduced us to her friend, Billy. Billy makes the best drinks I haven’t found anything like it in Korea or Portland, OR (where we’re from and we’ve been to most coffee shops in Portland!) not only does Billy make amazing drinks but he is an artist and made us take home magnets of us at La Vie En Rose. He is a lovely person and we love coming here every day and talking with him. He is very hospitable and warm. We met his wife over the phone and she is of the same, just a genuinely warm and friendly person. She makes the pistachio cake with raspberry sauce. It’s perfectly nutty, earthy, light, just the right amount of sweetness, it feels healthy. This experience solidified our love for Gyeongju. After coming from Seoul we needed a place that was more our speed and this hit the spot we came back three days! Billy and his wife Annette are forever in our memories and we will come here next year when we visit Gyeongju
