I recently visited Cafe Cassendro in Negombo. This newly opened restaurant is set right on the beach on Porutota Road Negombo. The location is amazing and great for a relaxing afternoon lunch or a balmy dinner. The menu is at the moment quite small but the food is delicious. I had the fish and chips and it was perfect. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant does not have a liquor license but I am sure it will have soon. The opening hours are 12.30pm until 10.30pm, but this will change I am sure in the future. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Well done everyone.

The atmosphere at this place is lovely, but the service was really off.
We ordered a beer and the waitress told us they are out of beer, few minutes later she brings 4 beers to the table beside us!
We even asked for lemon/lime slices, and she also told us they don’t have lemons. It was pretty odd and disappointing.

Ich hatte Fleischspeise mit coleslaw. Das Fleisch war hart und nicht zu kauen die angebliche Erdnusssauce schmeckte nicht nach Erdnuss und statt caleslaw gab es normalen Salat ohne Vorwarnung. Aussicht ist gut aber essen nicht zu empfehlen
