This place is amazing! My wife and I went here four days in a row. The food and bubble tea is absolutely delicious. Super friendly and lovely workers too. Very kind and accommodating to all our needs. Fish in the tank are super cute too! Between us and a few friends we almost tried all of the bubble tea flavours (we had 18 bubble tea drinks) and they all were fantastic. Would highly recommend. Great place to have a meal or a bubble tea on the go. I usually get the chicken katsu with rice & a matcha green tea with coconut jelly. Place was clean & tidy, team on were friendly and helpful. My favourite worker there is the alternative girl but they are all very nice. Food came out quick and fresh.

Excellent food and fast service. Kids eyes were bigger than thier stomachs, but we were able to take away doggie bags. Staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. Thanks team. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My wife brought me here for lunch on a Thursday. Being a first time visitor she advised that Asian style cuisine was on the cards. We both had Ramen and it was pretty damn good. The place wasn't overly crowded and rather quiet at the time we went. I had heard that the bubble tea is abit of hit n miss affair with some people and tbh, didn't sound like my kind of thing. All in all a pleasant enough experience and i'd certainly would come back again.

The ambience at Black Pearl is absolutely captivating. I enjoy their Green Curry Chicken Ramen, which pairs perfectly with my favorite bubble tea.. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Updating my recommendation again, as it seems that service has slipped. Friendly but slow service, loyalty cards for free bubble teas, but at my most recent visit, I waited for a long time and when it arrived it came without pearls, and I did not have time to check it. Quite disappointing. Under current management the staff turnover seems quite high. Delays can make social distancing difficult. I saw another customer who had pre-ordered drinks, turn up to find the order not yet made. There are a wide range of drinks including bubble teas, coffee etc. and reasonably priced Asian meals and nibbles. There is nolonger a USB charging point as there used to be.
Taste: 4/5 Price: $-$$ Portions: medium The korean chicken was super tasty, the sheimp wontons were good but the suace was extremely salty, and the black sesame bubble tea was downright disgusting.
Came in with kids to get bubble tea. Very yum. The women who served me was very helpful. The boba I get in welly (Tiger restaurant) is probably more authentic etc but I loved the taste of the bubble tea here...and I typically don't like bubble tea!

Have had bubble tea plenty of times whilst in various countries in Asia and the actual tea itself tasted great but there was something about the tapioca pearls that made me try and avoid them... will probably be the best bubble tea place you can find in Palmerston North but I wont be going back in a hurry. Decent customer service, I have heard the food is very good though so may go back to try the food.

Coffee bubble tea was my first experience with Black Pearl. It was really impressed. This time come back for lunch. Love the fried noodle.
