Overhyped spot. Tried a chicken kottu and a biryani (large portions prices respectively 1800 and 2500) they were a bit cold and the appetite disappeared just after a few seconds. Service was alright but the atmosphere wasn't great. There's no parking, so we had to park our vehicle across the road.

service staff was terrible, they seems not interested to work at all.. please you need to have spot check here in Mathara! I’m 100% sure this is not your standard..
Restaurant looks very dirty !
No uniform for staff ?
Everyone in the kitchen make some fun.. no discipline..

If you know, don't go. It is very dirty. The servants are cooking in the kitchen, shouting and singing. Everything in the mouth is in the food. There are stones in the rice. Only the girl at the cashier works for wages. It has no taste and is dirty. It does not cook cleanly.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I feel like it could've been better but it's not really that bad. From my opinion if you want to eat biriyani that's not the first place to go to. Their mount Lavinia branch is way better.

Never coming back. Customer service is very poor. No preference for those at the cash counter. And they don't even give you a towel to wipe your hands. They gave us water to drink as per our request. I would like to say that you will not get as beautiful an experience here as you think. The plastic cups given to us were given without washing. Can't even give a glass to drink බි.ක

This place needs a lot of improvement. The food is okay, but it's not clean at all. There's a person in black clothes serving who's chewing betel leaves and their mouth looks gross. They even talk with red-stained teeth near the food. Plates and spoons aren't cleaned well either. They really need to work on cleanliness and hygiene.

I recently dined at this restaurant. Firstly, the service was far from professional. Most staff members appeared inexperienced, likely fresh out of school, and seemed to lack training. They were sluggish in their service and order-taking, especially at the cashier point. If you're looking for takeaway, prepare to stand in line for roughly 15 minutes to receive an order.
Their so-called specialty "Biriyani" was a disappointment. The egg wasn't prepared in the traditional biriyani style, and the dish lacked any authentic taste. The chicken piece felt more burnt than cooked. At a price tag of Rs.1500 (Large for Rs.2500), it's painfully below par.
The ambience inside was the worst - an old room fitted with low-quality desks and chairs, devoid of any comfort. It seemed like all their budget went into advertising and flashy boards outside. There are many restaurants along Matara beach that offer far superior food and interiors at more reasonable prices.
The management's apparent indifference to the restaurant's standards is concerning. I wouldn't recommend a visit.

This is the worst place I have ever eaten. Eating in the restaurant is very difficult because it is very hot and dirty. Although the facilities of this restaurant are less, the food is not cheap. The food is neither tasty nor fresh too...
