This place does not disappoint. I've been here twice within a year, and the service, food, and atmosphere have not changed. Lovely service from the waitress that serviced us and the food quality was amazing. Definitely a go-to if you want quick, delicious, comfort food. Will keep going back. We went as a group of six for my nephew’s 15th birthday. It was quite loud and difficult to talk to each other at the table. The best food we had was the sweet potato fries. The burgers while tasty were very small for the price. They had no A&W root beer, and the waitress spilled my beer on me. Not a great start. They seem busy but I wouldn’t return.
Not an ideal experience. Whenever you try ring they always have their kitchen closed which is a complete difference between their listed open hours. Never available on deliver easy and you call at 8:15PM when they close at 9PM they say their kitchen is closed. Adjust your hours if you cannot adhere and or be available, or get more staff... little disappointing considering Near 50mins til they close.. Been here twice in the last few weeks. First time was for dinner and had their burgers - I'm really opinionated about burgers, and this was probably the best one I've had in Palmy. Second visit was for their first brunch pop up, and both the Chicken & Waffles and Breakfast Poutine were amazing. Awesome place, awesome food, awesome people. Got the special burger and poutine and they were excellent, no notes at all. Got to meet the owners and their new baby while they checked in and made sure everything was running smoothly. Definitely got some new to hospo staff but they were going really well and managers seemed to be really good about training. Kitchen staff are really switched on too, overall a great place for dinner and priced well compared to other Palmy places. Finally visited this spot I've been hearing such great things about and it did not disappoint. The photos speak for itself but we ordered, Fried Cauliflower - incredibly tasty, couldnt replicate this at home if i tried! The burgers are very flavourful- smashed patty's with a tonne of pickles (at my request) and a very generous helping of american sliced cheese! Poutine is obviously a staple here, and you're spoilt for choice from Newfie to bacon to original. Cocktails were a huge highlight- the Canadian is an excellent sweet option and the Old Fashioned is incredible- the perfect amount of sweet (maple) and bitter(s) - I had x4! Whether you're a local or you're driving through, this is a must stop destination!
First impressions: Cocktails were well made and the service was great - our waitress was so lovely! Music was a bit loud, making it difficult to converse at times but we didn’t bring this to the staff’s attention. The menu is compact which suits me well, as too many options can make it hard to decide on what to order. Love that sour beer was on the menu too (: I found the pricing to be reasonable but was somewhat disappointed with the wings (a little dry and not enough buffalo sauce) I would def come back here! Thank you Beaver & Bear Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Maybe the 5 of us had too high expectations. Service was initially attentive but as the night went on, we waited longer and longer eg refill water, order dessert, order more drinks. Staff were still friendly. The poutine was the biggest disappointment, just not what we had experienced in other places. The slaw was bitter in taste. The Caesar salad was basic and boring, hardly eaten. The kids menu although good value for money, the burger patty and bun were burnt. Colouring in kept the kids occupied which was great. Generally give a place another go but don't think we will be back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $40–50 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Another great night here for dinner, the food & drinks are very nice as always. The Canadian inspired flavours make the Beaver & Bear a great alternative to try. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
