Such a cozy and chilled place located at the heart of colombo.. calm and quiet place.. extra plus point is that the cafe was super clean.
They got a quiet simple menu but it includes amazing food items but the prices are at the high side though.
staff was super helpful and friendly..
Coming to food,
The fuwa fuwa with mixed fruit was beyond expectations.. presentation was a plus plus👌👌 as well as tastes amazing. Loved every bit of it. Though I mentioned food is expensive earlier , this was an exception.. had lot of fruits in it and literally a ‘MIXED FRUIT ‘ fuwa fuwa! 😜
And the. Omerice was good. I didn’t enjoyed the gravy of it but as a overall dish it was fine. Again they nailed the presentation..
cappuccino was also fine.
Going back again for sure!
Quiet, decent ambiance, not sure if it's a part of the hotel. Has a wide assortment of tea for the true tea lovers. Not the regular black, gray and greens. So far had 3 dishes and two drinks. The omurice is absolutely perfect. Could have 2 out of pure greed. lol. Decent parking, there's also room to sit outside.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were very excited cos it was filled with many tables of Japanese, and there was a Japanese server. Ready for an authentic dining experience, we ordered an omu rice after reading the fabulous reviews about it here, a chicken katsu don, and a tamago maki for my daughter.
Firstly, service. Staff were not attentive and it took a lot of effort to get their attention, with my husband eventually getting the menu himself, and going to the cashier to pay.
Secondly, if you look at the photo of the omu rice attached, it was basically an overcooked omelette on top of rice. NOTHING like a Japanese omu rice. I've lived in Japan for 2 years and have never seen something this terrible.
Thirdly, and this was the kicker. We found plastic, and some prawn shell (there's no prawn in the dish) in my omu rice. Told the Japanese server, who was very apologetic and took the two offending items back. She returned with some taloyaki (which I had not ordered earlier as these have been sitting outside the restaurant by the road for a while) as compensation.
For rs1300, I would have expected something better done than an overcooked omelette with plastic bits (i was later told by the server it was saran wrap) and prawn shells inside, on top of rice. I could have done it better myself, without the plastic thank you very much.
First and last visit. Sorely disappointed. This was not the Japanese quality and service I had expected when I entered the place.
This place is not recommend for anyone, food is not good enough for the value you spent, have ordered a fish and chips which is cost Rs 1300, it turned up with 3 tiny tiny pieces of Panko battered fish with few chips, there was not even piece of lemon included. Really disappointed.
Great little niche on Galle Road. Snacks and short eats and also gourmet coffee is served. They have a tea shop adjoining and serve and sell super tea. Lovely informal atmosphere. Plenty of parking at the rear.

Suggestions: Make the sushi roll size smaller (one bite size) while increasing the number of rolls per portion.
Use better quality rice.
Great service and location, would love to see the restaurant improve
