Visited after a year and alot has changed. The portion size has reduced and the price has increased significantly. We had to wait so long for the person to come and take our order and I had to go remind that we were ready. After that food also took so long to arrive. Didn't feel it was worth the money. Price per person $50–60 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
We used to come here regularly but hadn't been for a year or two, I would say it definitely isn't as good as it used to be. While the drinks were good, especially the coctail special, we waited an hour and 15 minutes to receive our food and had to ask what had happened to it. Once we asked our waiter about it, he chased it up with the kitchen and offered us complementary drinks as an apology. Once the food arrived, it was pretty good, although the "medium rare" steak was more like well done and unevenly cooked. It was pleasant sitting outside in the shade of umbrellas with the view of the marina, just a shame about the long wait. Especially since the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Really enjoyed our visit. Food was excellent. Service was great and loved sitting outside enjoying the boat Harbour view. As Arnie said, "I'll be back" Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We have been to this restaurant a few times over the last few years. Compared to the first time we went, it has taken a bit of a dive. The service was fast and pleasant. The table was sticky as... even after waitress wiped it. The Salt & Pepper Squid, originally was to die for and reasonably priced... now you get a mouthful for $19, and it has not got any taste to it. Mains Ordered: 2 Ultimate Surf and Turfs (med), one came out well-done (maybe due to it being thin). The Fisherman's Choice, battered fish very oily. The Pork Belly, looked big due to the huge amount of mashed potato. The meals in general looked great, other then the oiliness of the batter on the fish. There was no real great taste to the meals; the sauces did not stand out; and the salads (which I am all for!!), were covered in something but not sure what - as no taste. A huge disappointment.

We went here for dinner and the starter breads were really good but the mains not so much unfortunately. The chicken and fish portions were a bit too small for the price you pay and the chicken was slightly over done. The mains were also bulked out with average tasting mash potatoes too. Overall not bad but for the price, we expected far better. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Do you like seafood? We do, and luckily, we have found this restaurant. We visited on Easter Sunday, and it was not busy at all. There are plenty of seating options, both inside and outside. We ordered different dishes: calamari, a seafood selection, and a cibatta baked with cheese plate. The calamari dish contains a whole calamari, not just some quick-fried pieces. According to my friend, she really enjoyed it. The cibatta was huge, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and served with abundant garlic butter. Finally, we tasted the huge seafood plate, which easily fed two adults. We enjoyed the larger variety of seafood, including mussels, octopus tentacles, shrimp, and other sea creatures. Check out the attached pictures. ☺️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Seafood Platter
Best seafood platter by far, better than Auckland! Never seen a size like this! Filled with amazing dips, fruit, pate, seafood and meat - cannot not go! Please try the platter, won’t regret it!!!! Braving the storm, I decided to take my parents out for lunch as they were on holiday with us and the rubbish weather reduced our options for entertainment. We were looking for something to warm us up, something tasty and somewhere interesting, and all being seafood fans, we decided on The Anchor. While the venue was busy, we were quickly seated and immediately asked if we wanted coffee - Great start! The coffee came and was nice, and got our gears moving ready to order our lunch! I ordered the Salmon Nicoise Salad, as I had been feeling a little chubby with all of the eating and sharing I've have been doing! The salmon was served cold, a smoked fillet, whiskey cured, sitting on a bed of fresh salad with potatoes and a poached egg. I really enjoyed this dish, and was surprised at the freshness and quantity of the salad given the season and current cost of lettuce! My wife had the chowder, as she often does, and this was well received and warmed her up on this cold, wet day. My mother had the prawn risotto, and while it wasn't something she would normally order, she enjoyed it. Dad ordered the duck parfait, and this was very tasty although he was eyeing up mum's risotto and helped her finish it! The restaurant is a great place to visit, you can sit and watch the boats come and go. I have often visited on a nice sunny day and sat with a cold beer and watched the boats. A very relaxing undertaking! This day was very wet, but the restaurant was warm and dry, a great way to spend the afternoon! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
