Service was fast and good. And an wateriest was pretty attentive.
food arrived pretty quickly but was not that excellent. Bread for brusketas was a bit burnt. I ordered octopus which was really good , but mashed potato was too liquid. Special salad was ordinary one.
Also I wish the olive oil was better quality. Wine was ok.
Talking about atmosphere we didn’t like that there was table of Italians who talk loudly with no respect to customers around.
Paid 1600 pesos, but unfortunately couldn’t enjoy. Not sure we could be back or recommend this place.

The food here was delicious! We ordered the spaghetti with pesto, the fritto misto, and the the crostata. Everything was very good and the flavors were perfect! The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. A very enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend anyone in the Playa del Carmen area to come here.

We walked by this nice quiet place and decided to go in,
That was the best decision of the night;
Everything was excellent, especially the service;
The beer was cold and their classic margarita (drink) was the best I can remember tasting.
I would definitely recommend it!

The food is awesome, the composition is just perfect. The pizza has been eaten a few times the best in the area. Pasta and the desert too, simply abnormally fine.
Inexpensive, fast and tastes great.
Sundays have 50 percent off pizzas
thats only 75 peso only

Authentic Italian, everything was good, going back tomorrow. Met some friends,had a Cappuccino and teramasu, area around it safe and sound, not far from the ferry terminal
Delicioso. The treatment is excelente. Very friendly and loving. Mary is a great person. She gave us a huge welcome. The staff is very friendly. The food is delicious. The pasta is fresh. The best pesto pasta I had.
My granddaughter just loved it. She said 4 thumbs up !!!😍
Charming Italian restaurant with great food in a comfortable, centrally located, and super clean place. We had the pizza on a Sunday night; they had a promo on some toppings—great deserts, all homemade and tasty. Newly renovated in December 2022, it got bigger and better.

Completely Enjoyable.
I’m afraid that readers of this review will think of me as boring and unadventurous, I assure you I am neither.
In my role as a designer/manufacturer/entrepreneur I’ve traveled the world for work many times over which means that I’ve experienced many restaurants in all kinds of situations from super casual to Michelin Star restaurants.
My behavior pertaining to Lo Spuntino in particular and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in general consisted of five days and was to say the least, unusual.
I dined at “an expensive” restaurant that I found completely overpriced, and it shall remain nameless. The next day at lunchtime I discovered Lo Spuntino a block away from my hotel. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and the appearance matched the taste which matched my expectations. THIS, was as home made as it could possibly be. I loved it! I went the next day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I felt no desire to go anywhere else. The food was one reason, a big reason, but just as importantly were the husband/wife team who own it, cook it, serve it, and they do it with all the love and friendship one can take in. Clearly I wasn’t the only one feeling this as many regulars would come in to say hello, for an espresso, for a meal. I truly loved every minute of my time there. When I do go again to Playa del Carmen my meals will be had at Lo Spuntino, and should you go, you should eat there as well.
