The quality and taste of mains was disappointing for the price point. Photos look good only. Even something as simple as "twice cooked" chips and onion rings were very oily and not crispy. Waiting staff were slow and unprofessional and seemed uninterested in their work. The only redeeming part of the experience was the sundae I tried, which was nice but nothing special at $21. Service was very slow and not very friendly. Waited aaaaages for everything - including drinks to begin. Waited for the table to be cleared so we could do the birthday cake, but we gave up and went home to do the cake instead. Food was quite nice. Good amount of meat but veges small in comparison. Incredibly tasteful cuisine. The owner was doing an amazing job multi tasking, hosting their guests, training new staff, receiving orders and took the time to have genuine conversation. Answered questions about the food and checked on us during and after our meal, even offered to adjust the temp in the room for us! This is going to be our new date night regular restaurant! Went to Amayjen for date night on Thursday. Everything was amazing!! Great atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service. We really enjoyed the beef cheek croquettes. The lamb shoulder was out of this world tasty and so tender! And as for the desserts.. Just WOW!!! Thanks team Amayjen for a very enjoyable evening! We will definitely be back! Absolutely amazing restaurant. Food wasn't too expensive which was a positive and steak was cooked to perfection. Super lovely staff and we weren't waiting for food for too long either. Thorough enjoyed the Sundae for dessert too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I went to Amayjen to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had the shared menu which was a great way to try multiple dishes. It was all very tasty and beautifully presented and came out in a timely manner. Jenny and the team were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend dining at Amayjen! Good service a little slow but awesome staff. Food was hit and miss across our 9 main meals. Chicken Kiev great ,eye fillet great, salmon and beef cheeks both a little dry. Deserts were a hit.
