During multiple visits to Alto Fuego, I've had an array of appetizers and main courses, each exceeding expectations. The restaurant's open-air ambiance, complemented by a captivating water wall, adds a very nice touch to the dining experience. Hector's culinary skill consistently impress me making each visit a culinary home run.
The attached menu was for one of the visits but changes as Hector comes up with new creations.

Chef Hector's newest restaurant in Mazatlan is a new favorite. We've been living in Mazatlan on and off for 17 years and have always enjoyed Hector's other restaurants. Alto Fuego is so delicious - the dishes are unusual, yet familiar. The ingredients are fresh, the meat, fish and vegetables are perfectly prepared. We followed the recommendations of our wonderful server and chose an incredible pork taco on their homemade flat bread with an avocado sauce, and a butternut squash and whipped feta starter. We shared the young corn fed chicken which was prepared in Hestor's charcoal oven.- so tender and full of flavor with crispy skin. We finished with a beautifully prepared apple tart that came with ice cream from Babela's. The ambiance is also beautiful - a 2nd floor roof top garden setting with shade sails, beautiful mosaic tile, and green plants everywhere set in what we heard was the old French embassy. Don't miss alto Fuego.

First time eating here. I would go back in a heartbeat. Good value and excellent use of grill. Lemon cheesecake was one of the best I’ve had.
