This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! You absolutely do not have to be vegan to enjoy this! The food was incredibly complex with many layers of delicious flavors that were unexpected and incredibly enjoyable. The service was thoughtful, kind, and elegant. One of the workers even showed me how they grew this sprouts and dried their own greens for their homemade kitchen. The decor had me taking videos of how beautiful was from the giant tree growing in the courtyard to the heart shaped bench, I wish I could hear every day. This is not to be missed. Wow! So delicious and lovely experience here. Food was excellent and service as well. As it was raining super heavily they got us a taxi at a reasonable price and the waiter even guided us with an umbrella to the taxi. Don’t miss this place during your Bacalar stay. Too bad they aren’t open for dinner 😔 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Mucho much perfecto! The service, the vibe, the food, the love, the energy. Everything is spot on. I am a frequent vegan foodie and this place has a special vibe. We came here on the off chance because the other place was closed and it was a magic spot. We were shown their garden where they produce a lot of their vegetables and it was wonderful. The service was impeccable especially from David the bar tender, he kindly showed us around the garden and made our drinks with love 🫶🏼 The food was high quality and with great great great flavours! Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $600–700 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Eggplant Moussaka

Incredible vegan food, atmosphere and service. Their menu covers a range of cuisines which are clearly created with care (I had the Thai rolls, Ramen Tom Yum and a smoothie), feel very fresh (they grow some of the ingredients, and get others from Mayan farmers in nearby towns), and each presented with their own elegant twist. We dined in the front garden which is spacious but feels cozy with all the natural surroundings that enclose it. They served us a couple of suprise little extras throughout our meal which was a nice touch. Most memorably, we were also offered a tour of the restaurant's back garden, where they grow and dry various herbs and plants, which we gladly accepted. (We came at a time when it wasn't very busy, so not sure this can always be accommodated for). Overall a remarkably pleasant, enjoyable and memorable first experience of Bacalar. Thanks! The food is some of the best I've had in bacalar.. definitely a little more expensive but worth the splurge.. staff is very friendly.. I highly recommend it Price per person $400–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A very unexpected vegan restaurant in the heart of Bacalar. All dishes as well as the drinks have a twist to make the plant based food interesting and delicious. The service was excellent with very friendly staff. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for vegan food in the area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I've done something here that I've NEVER done at any restaurant before... We went back 3x in two days, just because the food was THAT good, genuinely on a gourmet level, I enjoyed it more than some of the top trendy vegan high end restaurants in LA, and other major USA cities, however, and I hate saying this because I don't want to deter anyone from trying such great cuisine....the service was some of the slowest I've ever experienced, even by Mexico standards.i love all the small touches-the care and dedication to presentation and flavor, home grown garnishes, complementary kombucha shot and other extras, etc, but the execution of the menu itself was also inconsistent from one day to the next, some big, some small misses, I still devoured everything! But would pass on the lentil soup... everything said, I would come w the expectation of having a slow meal and enjoying myself, even if I had to get something re-done. When they sort their systems out, I would not hesitate to put it at the top of my must go restaurants for vegan/ vegetarian/healthy/ gourmet/ gluten free option foods. Went to Agni for breakfast and dinner multiple times and had a beautiful experience every time. Very creative and detail oriented menu, interesting products and a lot of home grown ingredients. The service is super friendly and attentive. This place is a bit on the pricier side, but it's absolutely worth it. Feels like a fine dining experience. Would love to come back again! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $800–900
Overall, this place had a great vibe. The waiter who served us was kind and explained all the dishes and their ingredients. He also brought out complimentary kombucha shots and date “truffles” at the end of our meal. We had the enfrijoladas, which were stuffed with a flavorful potato filling. They were also topped with tempeh, grilled avocado, sprouts, onions, and sauerkraut. If we could offer one piece of feedback, it would to simplify the flavor profile, as there was a lot going on (still delicious though). Not included in the star review is the cappuccino that came out lukewarm and had a somewhat off-putting/tangy taste due to the intense coconut milk flavor. The prices were a bit expensive, especially given the portion sizes. All-in-all, we would recommend eating here for gut-friendly and healthy vegetarian/vegan food in Bacalar. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $200–300
