Small store in the middle of nowhere. You can get some instant food or limited supplies while you are visiting. I always make sure to visit to support the local economy.
Please, PLEASE, make this a stop on your exploration of Yanburu. Grab a coffee and explore the local area, especially the Ibu Beach. It’s mix of a river that flows to the ocean and has a great mangrove forest.
This place was a life saver for our trip in Yambaru!
I especially liked the kind and friendly owner, and the original Ada coffee.
- On the east side of Kunigami-son, there's really not many restaurants, stores etc. They were the only store opened near where we stayed, so they literally saved us from starving.
- For those who come from the major cities, don't expect it to be like a city combini, where they have more than what you need. This is a local general store, run by the local people I suppose, where they sell some fresh groceries, and necessary items.
- There is a family mart vending machine, where you can buy familymart's pre-cooked food. There's a microwave to heat up the food, and the store provides you with dish/chopsticks etc as well if you need. Being able to eat warm meals helped us so much after a long day of traveling around Yambaru!
- FOR COFFEE LOVERS; I highly recommend trying their locally grown coffee. It's a bit pricey given it's grown in Japan (¥800-1000 a drip bag), but the coffee was so good! Tangerine like bright fruity flavor was a great addition to the tropical Yambaru morning. Wish I bought more.
