Absolutely the best bbq pork sandwich and donuts! This little downtown area was bustling with a Christmas market when we visited and the cafe was busy but worth the short wait! They have a clean restroom our back for their customers and WiFi! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

It's been decades since I've been in Matamata. This mōrena I called in too #64coffeeandkitchen for breakfast. What a lovely experience. Received a very warm welcome. The cabinet kai and menu looked amazing. Service was excellent, and the vibe (atmosphere) of the place was exciting. The kai and kāwhe were perfect, as was the mango & banana smoothie. Then they bought out to the counter the most impressive cream donuts I've seen. So tempting ..... I'm definitely blessed to have been to this café and left, refueled, fed & watered for the day ahead. Highly recommend you visit them too. #kai #kāwhe #smoothie #breakfast #goodfood #matamata #lovinglife❤️ #makingmemories #roadtrip #lovenz Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cream Donuts

Stop here for lunch. Great selection of food from their menu and friendly staff. We had the spicy burger and chips and mine and cheese pie, which was both delicious. Definitely will call back again when I'm in the area next. Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Berry Smoothie
Such nice food and coffee. We all enjoyed the food and didn't have to pay the earth. Coffee was at table in a flash and all staff so welcoming. Cheers team. Today was just as good thanks, Fried chicken burger is the bees knees and the maple syrup on the pancakes the best ever 👍

Great stop off in Matamata for a coffee and quick snack. This is possibly one of the best cafes in the town centre that opens late. We were originally wanting to go to the Kaimai cheese factory but that was closed, and the painted lady cafe across the road had stopped serving coffee. It was after 3pm and most of he other cafes in the town centre were already closed. This cafe was definitely a find. Delicious slices, brioches and good coffee with options such as almond milk as well.
Loved the lemon curd doughnuts! Best cinnamon rolls we have tried in New Zealand. Try the filling 64 Breakfast! Yum!

A sign of a good cafe is that the first thing you get is a problem - you can’t choose what to eat because everything looks so good. This place has an awesome display of cabinet food, kind of a sweet tooth heaven. The coffee is good, there’s plenty of room, and the location is away from the state highway but good for people watching. Our new go to when we’re passing through Matamata.
