We were seriously looking for a cup of coffee in the area, on Sunday evening, and it was the only place (we could find) open. Coffee and service was great, but it was the cheesecake what blew my mind. Will definitely come back!
I had lunch. I stumbled upon this place while walking through the neighborhood. It looked nice and the menu had some enticing options. I tried the “new” offering advertised as the Focaccia smoked ham sandwich. The amiable waitress said it was a good choice. When it finally arrived I was confronted with a ungainly dish next to impossible to tackle. The focaccia bread was a bad choice to use for this towering inferno (I forgot to take a picture). I asked for an extra plate since it I was to eat this sandwich in one piece most of it would go to feeding the birds scampering all around me. They obviously new what was coming their way. The extra plate never arrived and after keeping the hungry, impatient birds at bay, I asked another waitress for the plate which finally arrived. I disassembled the dish and proceeded to work my way through the two halves slowly and methodically. The ingredients were of good quality but the design of the dish was all wrong, wrong bread, wrong cheese (they opted for “buffala”, the pesto was OK, but it made the focaccia soggy, making matters worse.
All in all, a disappointment, next time I’ll try the coffee…
Charming location, nice pastries but they need to train their staff on coffee making as this is a huge area for improvement. Both drinks were extremely hot, borderline burnt. No vegan options.
Great place for a break. Great Coffee, juices, small bites, simple food but of excelent quality. A quiet corner in the heart of Punta del Este. Worth visiting.
La encontramos de casualidad, fuimos a buscar algo dulce pero la carta nos tentó así que aprovechamos a almorzar. Todo excelente, buenas atención, precios acordes para lo que sirven y para lo que es punta del este. Volvemos
