I have been here a couple of times and am never disappointed. Most recently, we came in about 20 minutes before their kitchen closed and they were so kind to invite us in and make us dinner. We ate at the bar, and I had the chicken piccata with Penne, which was amazing. their salad dressings are homemade and incredible. My boyfriend had the shrimp scampi and really enjoyed it. We stopped for dinner 430ish on a Friday, the place was very clean and friendly. The menu was a specialized menu with a bunch of customer recommended #1s, it was very hard to choose what meals we would be selecting off the menu due to the whole menu was packed with excellent dinner choices. I settled for the Meatloaf special off the house special board (Amazing), and my wife chose the Chicken Picata (Amazing), these are two of most recommended dinner choices by the house and a few friends of ours. We both ordered the House Merlot with dinner which was a good choice on our part (perfect) along with the wine the house places a large flip top bottle of ice cold water on your table for you to drink at your will. Paired with our meals were a side of mashed potatoes and cooked carrots with a side salad (all were perfect). If all of this amazing meal wasn't enough, we had to order the Zattola homemade ice cream over the house made brownie for dessert... everything was way to good to not finish... We left this place absolutely stuffed, and pleasantly pleased with our experience... one side note I would have to say if you chose to go there, please have a conversation with your servers and staff, we spoke to an older gentlemen who I still don't believe he is in his 70s, he was one the most kind, and personable staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant, he made us feel like family and like he knew us for ever, he stated how the food is prepared and the history of the recipes, you could tell he absolutely loves this place along with the owners and he firmly believes in the quality this place provides. The food was definitely enough for us to go back, but just having the small interactions with the gentleman makes me feel that we will absolutely go back... Im sure anyone who has been to this place and has interacted with this gentlemen could probably attest to what I'm saying, as he spoke to everyone... the world needs more people like him in it!!! Zottola's Pub and Eatery is a wonderful place. It has the most inviting atmosphere inside and a delightful porch outside. The people who work there are top notch. They are friendly and always attentive. And lastly, but not least, the food is great. I love the haddock but I have enjoyed everything I've tried. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Based on the reviews and the fact that "reservations are recommended", we had high hopes for this restaurant. We started with the Beans and Greens as the appetizer, which happens to be one of my favorites. I didn't get a photo of it, but imagine campbells beans and bacon canned soup, with a little spinach thrown in. That's exactly what it looked and tasted like. For entrees, I ordered a special - a pulled beef sandwich with au jus and fries. My husband ordered the Saxonburger (their signature burger). My sandwich arrived with no au jus sauce and when I asked, I was given a small container of thick brown gravy which tasted like the kind you buy in a jar. I asked for ranch dressing for the fries. It was too watery to stick to the fries and had little taste. My meal came with a small container of something... my husband and I both tasted it to try to figure out what it was and all we could come up with is shredded cooked cabbage. If it was supposed to be a slaw... they forgot any seasoning or sauce. It was literally just bland cabbage. My beef sandwich had no seasoning or salt and was quite bland. My husband"s "signature burger" was supposed to have alfredo sauce on it, which I assume is what made it the signature burger, but it came without. That might have given the burger some flavor but without it, it was as unseasoned and bland as my pulled beef sandwich. It's almost as if they don't use any seasoning or salt in the kitchen. Even the fries did not have any salt on them. I can assume that we just made poor menu choices because the place was busy, so they must be popular for a reason, but my husband and I did not have an experience that would make me want to go back. One of our favorite hidden treasures. Excellent food and a well stocked bar, outdoor seating, plus Sunday breakfast! The Crab Benedict is to die for! Stopped again last night for dinner. I ordered their Smashed Potatoe soup, Pasta Alfredo and had the homemade butter pecan ice cream. I myself have been a chef for over 15 year's and it has been years since I been to a restaurant where everything I ordered was absolutely perfect and on point. I never knew about this place until my friend was looking up places to eat and he found this place. I am hooked!!! I have ate here 3 days in a row haha. If you want the best of the best I highly recommend stopping in at Zottola's. The lighting is not to bright and the atmosphere is very relaxing and the owner's are absolutely amazing. I am going back this week for the shepherd's pie for Irish month of March. Go to Zottola's I guarantee you will not be disappointed! Don't listen to few negative B.S. reviews I have read. The best thing I noticed is they have 99% positive reviews.
