I coming back to this jewel. I decided to try something different on the menu - tacos with asparagus on the side. Great combo. The taco meat was juicy, moderately spicy (requested that way). The asparagus was cooked to perfection. Too often asparagus is too hard from other restaurants. But Zin gets it right. The ambiance / view is so peaceful one could fall asleep at the table. Today's servers were a tad distant and more distracted than usual. Must be the weather. Don't miss out on this great restaurant at the Westlake Village Marina in Westlake Village, Calif next to Thousand Oaks in Ventura County. The atmosphere and view of the lake was awesome. However, the food was disappointing to say the least. I ordered the braised short rib and it was drowned in extremely oily sauce. The vegetable risotto was undercooked and parts of the rice were still crunchy. The chicken fried lobster pretty much had no lobster and was mostly over-fried breading. The price for the quality of the food was atrociously overpriced. If I were to ever come here again it would only be to have some drinks at the bar and listen to the live music.
