About
Enjoy good grilled cod, migas and grilled octopus that are offered at this restaurant. It's time to try tasty fruitcake, che and chocolate mousse. A lot of visitors order delicious house wine, Sangria or beer. Great coffee is among the most often ordered drinks at Inacio. The intimate atmosphere of this place allows guests to relax after a hard working day. The hospitable staff welcomes people all year round. The prompt service displays a high level of quality at this spot. You will pay low prices for dishes. It is noteworthy that decor is lovely. As for the Google rating, this restaurant achieved 4.5.

One of the most terrible service we have ever experienced in Portugal. The waiter Was so rude it was incredible! I have shared that the por co that we order was not good, even though we waited for a long time and were hungry, didn’t want to chance. The waiter was really aggressive and removed the dish from then table. I have been living 10 yrs in Portugal and never experienced anything like this.
This experience made us realize we shouldn't trust Google reviews all the time. The service was not the friendliest. The housewine was terrible. They didn't have half the things on the menu we wanted to order. The fries were very greasy and the meat was overcooked as well as didn't seem fresh. Same for the fried choco.
Lovely host on a very quiet rustic farm.. Very good value in a great location. Came for 1 night but stayed 2!! Would certainly revisit..

We insisted on eating lunch at this restaurant on an August day without being allowed to reserve, so eventually we ended up waiting for over an hour. We had been warned, though, so cannot complain too much. It was generally worth it, as the place offers a nice vibe in the centre of Porto Covo, good traditional Portuguese food and drinks with reasonable prices. We had octopus, cod and sardines, which were all good, however not exceptional. Food served to other tables also looked good. The white wine was great as well as the dessert (biscuit cake). Generally recommend, but better skip it on busy days. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–25 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Awful and touristic. Just had a cod salad which was very small and very bad for 10 euros and my partner had the house cod. Both fishes were defenelty frozen. The house cod was served with chips/crisps, not even the basics boiled potatoes or fries ... It was extremely bad and very oily.

Porto Covo has a special place in my heart. Porto Covo is a friendly fishing village with tiny white houses and great beaches and restaurants. I visited Zé Inácio Restaurant on a Sunday for dinner, so I tried to arrive there early. It was a few minutes past 7 pm, and the restaurant was still closed, and people were already queueing for it. It opened after 7:30 pm, and luckily, I got a table inside the restaurant. Because I was alone, they put me at the worst table at the restaurant's end next to the fridge. I had to wait for the food for 20 to 30 minutes, which was ok because the food was very delicious. I chose one of their specialties, Octopus with olive oil and garlic. It came with vegetables, one sweet potato, two white potatoes, accompanied by the house white wine. The Octopus was extremely good! For dessert, I had the cheesecake, but it wasn't that great. I have nothing to say about the staff; they were professional when serving me, but in the end, I felt they were pressing to finish the dessert and leave. Outside seating was fine, popular so the waiter was busy but ordered a dish (ham, sausage & cheese mixture) & was highly disappointed. Dish came with shaved meat & slices of cheddar cheese. Asked where the sausage was but was told they didn't feel it was good enough to serve. Should have been told this upfront so as to be able to choose another dish. Otherwise the beer, wine, breads and friends meals were fine. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €15–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Despite the great food, service was poor. Very rude, unprofessional - i.e didn’t allow my wife, with a 3 months old baby, to wait for the takeaway sitting down (there was plenty of room in the restaurant). I felt mistreated due to my nationality, unfortunately still a common issue in some establishments here. Other friends, Portuguese and European, were well served in this restaurant. Wouldn’t recommend. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person €35–40 Service: 1
The fried Oktopus (choco frito) was one of the best, we ever had! The bacalao salad was also amazing. We sat inside with a local, friendly atmosphere. Really a place to go in every aspect. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Party of 4..we arrived and were seated right away, however, in high season you may want to call a head and reserve a table...I highly recommend trying the "bacalhau com natas".. it was divine...one of the best I ever eaten... the large potion is good for 1 or to share ...my uncle had a mini jar of white wine and he enjoyed it, as it was well chilled.. the staff was impeccable.. the restaurant is very clean... the ladies bathroom is wheelchair accessible and clean. I highly recommend Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15
