I’ve been to numerous Zankou chicken spots and they all have the same delicious taste and quality. This review is based off an Uber Eats delivery and I ordered the half chicken plate with cucumber salad/rice. Love the garlic butter sauce and it really makes the meal along with the pita breads. The chicken quality is perfectly cooked and seasoned. I’d definitely go here again and get some more of their other meals. It’s a solid recommendation to get you filled up for lunch or dinner. Despite their Japanese-sounding name, they actually serve Mediterranean food. I got takeout from here for about 20 people (it ended up being around 300 bucks). The order was a bit late (ordered it for 6pm and I dropped by at 6:20, and still had to wait a bit to get it) but the service was great and they were very accommodating as I was placing the order over the phone and then calling in the following days to change a thing or two. The food itself was quite decent, but I definitely see this place as the Yoshinoya of Mediterranean food (meaning, a tier above fast food but nothing exceptional or otherworldly). I used to comeback to pic up my combo plate of chicken and beef, delicious, I understand everything is more expensive but the food here is not cheap, we pay $16-$18 for a combo plate, that now has gone down on quality, it seems like the cook has changed, but I would like to know if its going to get better again to comeback, if not I’ll need to find a better place, like the ones in Glendale, authentic! Best Shawarmas are not here anymore 😏 advice: be careful if you drive into the back parking lot, it’s not worth it, better park on the street than getting stuck or hit a car, that meal would be very expensive. Service it’s pretty good, always nice and professional, don’t get frustrated if you have to wait, there’s a wait if they’re busy, now they get so many to go orders and pick ups from delivery apps.
