This place is packed with customers for a reason. The food is delicious and inexpensive. The wait staff is attentive. Drinks are good too. If you are in the area, don’t miss it.This is typical Sabah local food,. The fish was fresh and the laksa and tomyam was also very nice. The prices are reasonable as well. It's a popular coffee shop among the tourist nowadays but I have to say that the food is only averagely taste.

Being a Sabahan myself I sometimes get questions on the street from tourists - "Tell me what do you Sabahan eat? We are tired of chicken rice balls. We want to eat like the locals !" The most important thing about "good local taste" is, there is nothing "Michelin" about it. Throwing away the philosophies, something "down-to-earth" is generally what we Sabahan look for. So Yohyong Restaurant is one of those neighbourhood ordinary coffee shops that has became PART OF US. Love the Tom Yam & Laksa.
I have high expectations for their food as the rating was pretty high...but sadly I can only give 3 star, we ordered the laksa n dried pork butter. Waited quite long, even though only few people in the shop and most of them already got their order. Laksa taste was okay, except for the wrong type of mee (they gave us mee kuning instead of mee hoon) and some unidentified white things in our laksa 😅 (asked the waitress, and she oso don't know). Last but not least, sorry to say the dried pork butter was a disappointment😔. Recommended to try their laksa, quite popular among the local.

One of the worst experience ever, order grabfood at 6.20pm, and my food wasn't even here yet, pity the driver that's waiting at the restaurant. I don't even know if I will even get my food at 8pm or even later, but if you can't handle then off your apps please
