Hands down one of the best mediterranean spots I've ever tried. Arguably one of the, if not the, top mediterranean spot in DFW. Found this spot in a TastingTable article about where the best gyro is in all 50 states. The Texas spot was this restaurant! The interior is a charming Greek cafe. Everything tasted amazing. The flavors really come out in each dish. Legit, their hummus (it's orange) is the best hummus I have tried so far in my life (and I have had a metric ton of hummus trust me). They also make the best dolmas I have ever had. Usually, I never have bad dolmas (except for a few spots). Here, the dolmas are so perfect. I love them. How is the gyro here? Amazing. It may be the best one I have tried. The lamb and beef were cooked to perfection with incredible flavor. I was picking bits of lamb and beef out of my gyro just to savor the deliciousness! The french fries the gyro comes with may be the best french fries I have tried at a restaurant. They were that good. Also had really good loukoumades here, which are Greek donuts! Seriously try this spot if you haven't! This was only my first time going, but I will return.
Great place for some good Greek food! Very cozy inside and the food was amazing! Recommend the hummus and chicken kabobs Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Lamb Souvlaki

This is still by far one of the best home made greek food restaurants. Great value for money and they never compromise on flavour. I always get the meatball soup to start which has a nice lemony tang to it and is served with a stack of pita bread, followed by the lamb souvlaki plate which is accompanied by a greek salad, fries and pita bread making it a well rounded plate and end the meal with some fresh loukoumades sprinkled with a generous helping of powdered sugar, honey and Cinnamon. If you are in town and want to be fully satisfied with your meal and go home happy, then this restaurant is a must visit. One of the best Mediterranean spots you’ll try in Dallas. Authentic Greek food here. The gyro is incredible. I also think they have the best hummus and dolmas. I’ll be returning again and again 🌊 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Went to this place based on reviews and Dallas best gyros places. I will say the food is quite flavorful so if you’re going for food quality this is definitely a win. I love that I could taste the garlic is many of the items as I’m a huge fan of garlic! Some of their items are a bit greasier than others I’ve had. The portions at this place is more than filling and they offered a complementary dessert. Not my preference but it was a nice treat. Very small and family oriented. I will say that I wish that it was a bit cleaner. There were dead flies and quite dusty. Definitely could use a bit of cleaning but also could be it’s old nature. I do love that it’s true to its vibe but that was my downside of the experience. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

This place is fantastic. We got a bunch of appetizers. The grape leaves were soft and really seasoned to perfection. The salad did not have lettuce, which was great. The skordalia is very garlicky, so if you don't like garlic, don't order this one. The fried zucchini was very good. The desserts are very delightful. Overall, the only problem that I had was, that I didn't get to try any entrées. So, I will be back. Hostess was really nice. Waited on us and checked on us often. The food was plentiful and really good. Do not order 3 appetizers because you won't eat your meal😭. There was complimentary pita bread and dessert that I forgot that name of but hit the spot after a big meal. There's a lot of culture within the establishment from its glory days to Greek aesthetics. Hummus was on point, calamari with cocktail sauce, dolmas was tasty. I'm pretty sure they filter the water which is a good thing because Dallas(hometown) is known for disgusting water. I sat and ate with a friend I hadn't saw in years and the setting was definitely legit. A few take out orders, a family of four came and sat down. It was empty, well lit. Not much curb appeal but its worth pulling into. Service was fast and friendly. Con: it gets pretty steamy in there without the place having central ac with box fans. The BEST, most authentic Greek food we have ever enjoyed. We believe it’s just a couple that runs the whole place and they get really busy here and now we understand why. Definitely worth any wait. The woman who served the tables was also cleaning and handling to-go orders. A little hectic but everyone seems to understand that the staff is limited but hard working. We absolutely loved it here and will definitely be back. Great food. Great desserts. Small dining area with a view of the kitchen. All drinks are in bottles or cans but you can get tap water. The small parking lot in front of the building is easy to miss so make sure to keep an eye out for it. Yia Yia’s is one of our favorite places now!
