I recently visited this gem in Hout bay with a group of friends. The experience was incredibly memorable in a calm and serene environment even when they were quite busy. Stand out moments of the day would definitely be the staff hospitality and humour, food quality as well as the environment. The staff has an incredible knowledge on the food accompanied by their humour and ability to create a connection with the group. By the end of the experience you would likely spend your time either laughing or speechless because of how good the food is. I ended up trying the orange chicken which left me speechless with how fresh the ingredients were, how tender the chicken was and how refreshing the meal was as a whole. I also ended up trying some of the chicken chow mein. The portion size and the dishes taste had me jealous of my friend’s insight of the menu, wishing I had ordered another dish to take home. They also offer ceramic painting with quite a variety of colours and unique objects for your imagination. The environment and atmosphere created a more inviting environment without the hustle and bustle that I’ve found at similar experiences. Leading me to put this on the top of my list. Lastly to end off we tried a portion of their ‘bow ties’. A delicious and light pastry coated with in a layer of sugar syrup to end off the meal on a really high note. Overall this was a stand out experience with an increasingly set of staff and the food quality to match. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. An AMAZING experience. We are lucky to have eaten at some truly noteworthy restaurants in our time, and this was by far one of the best. My son said: "There aren't words to describe how good this is." The dumplings are perfection. The Bao buns are soft and fluffy and pull apart mouthwatering. Treat yourself to the Peking duck experience, it is phenomenal. Meal type Lunch Price per person R 250–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Most Delish Handmade Dimsum

Our waiter created such an amazing experience for us, we are not familiar with the cuisine and they guided us through the menu and gave great recommendations. The food was great quality, super flavourful and fresh! They also offer vegan options. They are dog friendly in the outdoor seating area, which is amazing for dog owners. I would really recommend this to anyone looking to have a good experience with flavourful Asian cuisine. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Attended an amazing kintsugi workshop at the Teahouse this morning with friends and it was just lovely! Informative and cathartic, we also indulged in the delish dim sum and dumplings throughout. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person R 150–200
Wow! How lucky we are to have a Traditional and Authentic Cantonese Teahouse in Hout Bay, Cape Town! Handmade, no preservatives and absolutely flavourful Dimsum (Bao buns, dumplings, Sui Mai, har gau, wonton, springrolls, soup dumplings, Mantou) and so many more varieties including a wide selection of vegan and gluten-free re options to choose from! The most delicious options with amazing rice and noodle dishes too! This is the real deal - even better than some I’ve tasted in China! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A very special little shop run by enthusiastic owners wanting to share food close to their heart. A speciality store, stocking a wide variety of hard to get Cantonese & Argentinian ingredients from Yerba mate, home made, very delicious dumplings, an awesome selection of tea, ingredients and tasty treats. If you're looking for something specific like fresh Thai basil or rare flour or such, you can whatsapp them to seek it out for you if they don't have it It's rare to find a shop like this that exists purely due to appreciation of ingredients. Highly recommend for a tasty snack or for hard to find ingredient hunting. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Popped in to try Yesca’s Teahouse on our way through Hout Bay. So glad we did. Delicious dumplings and very friendly service. Will make a point to go back to try other dishes.
