Yen Yen has some of the best Chinese food in the area. We have been dining here for years. The egg rolls and sweet n sour anything are must haves. Just tried the happy family dinner for the first time and was amazed. Love the mu shu too. Highly recommend Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
I've been there three separate times for lunch in the last few weeks, and the service and the food has been great each time. My go to meal is their vegetarian lunch special, it has the smokey taste of being fired in a cast iron wok. It has been presented a couple different ways, and each time it is tasty! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

The food is amazing. Best Chinese food I've ever had. They do not have much for a kids menu, but I think they make up for it with the taste. The atmosphere is great and service is always good. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Chinese restaurants are all about the same. Same oily greasy feeling in the air from the frying. Same "friendly" people at the counter. Prices are high everywhere now. My beef and peapods were good, but the pods were frozen. I remember when Chinese restaurants had fresh peapods that would snap when you chewed them. I wish the egg rolls were bigger too. I ordered Mongolian beef and noodles with white rice, the food was incredibly delicious and the veggies were fresh. Definitely a place to return to when I'm in Chicago. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Beef Almond Ding

It has been a family favorite for over 30 years. Food is great and normally very quick to pick up. We love the egg rolls and pot stickers. The Steak Kow is fantastic but can get a bit pricy so we usually go with beef and broccoli or with the beef lo mein. Order was quite simple Mongolian Beef with a side order of Beef Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. The restaurant was about five minutes away from my destination to eat, when I took the food out of the car it was packed so poorly that all the juice from the beef had spilled EVERYWHERE into the bag. The food itself was alright, nothing special. Very disappointed in the restaurant, will not be coming back.
In years 2000 - 2005, I frequented Yen Yen where I was introduced to the most delicious egg roll of all time. It’s so good that, in the year 2022, I decided to look for Yen Yen while I was visiting my hometown. Well, I was not disappointed!!! I found it even though I’m pretty sure it used be across the street, although my memory isn’t great and it was dark outside. At any rate, I found it, went inside, got the egg rolls, talked to the owner or manager and told him how much I love his egg rolls and how no other egg roll has compared. The true test was my husband. As a fellow lover of Chinese restaurants established over 20+ years ago, his opinion matters. I am delighted to tell you that, for the first time in my life, I introduced my husband to a food he not only likes, but said it was, “on par with New Star.” That’s basically a 99% out of 100 for him. 5/5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $1–10

I've been here at least 10 times or more. I've always enjoyed myself tonight was the last time I will come here I ordered a shrimp dish. The shrimp came and they were over cooked and had an ammonia flavor. They remade me the dish and it was over cooked and still had an ammonia flavor, the waitress acted like she had no clue about what I was talking about. The owner was talking to everybody but never came by my table. They never asked me if I would like a different dish never gave me attention after I told him that the food was over cooked the shrimps were like little bullets. The ammonia comes from not being fresh , I've been a chef for 25 years. I know food pretty well very disappointing that they didn't care. I will never be back here again.
