One of the best restaurants in Malacca. Chef Yee spent 15 years in Singapore and is personally responsible for the dishes for his guests! The foie gras with chinese solo bun is a must try! We were supposed to dine in another well-known restaurant, but the satay restaurant nearby told us to try Yee Bao Bao. We were overly impressed with the food. The collagen chicken soup was out of the world. A 'must try" dish in this restaurant. The tofu was sliced into 4 mm thickness and spread into a circle. Such delicate knife skills. The steam fish had an unusual presentation but was also good. We love the Kampong chicken and the poached vegetables. We found out that Chef Yee worked in Singapore for more than 10 years. He has worked with the Tung Lock group and with Lei Gardens. No wonder his food is so good. Definitely, must visit this restaurant while in Melaka. Nice and cosy restaurant with 6 big tables downstairs n 2 private rooms that can accommodate 20 pax each upstairs. Food servings quite big n delicious. Had to pack n takeaway one cause not possible to finish by 2 persons. Overall a nice restaurant that I’ll come again. Service by the team of Myanmar is commended, friendly and polite. Wow ! That's the same thing which came out from our mouth ! The chicken and fish maw soup was superb! The amount of ingredient inside was generous ! The steam kampung chicken top with the ginger and garlic was so tender that it melts in your mouth. Sous vied char siew was also a fusion added. The prawn with a hinge of curry or spice was good. The presentation of the prawn is nice ! Claypot gong pao prawn pig trotter is tender and well marinated. Yam with nai bai veggie is refreshing and unique from the usual 上汤奶白。 The steam 龙躉 aka giant garoupa is full of collagen !! The huge plate of seafood with a combination of hor fun,bee hoon and sheng mian soak with the delicious gravy was the champion ! It's in fact a staple and comfort food with a twist. Chef was young and humble . He has a lot in his mind and very creative by adding in lots of fusion and yet blends well for Asian palates. This place was recommended by our friend's chef and it wasn't disappointing! They don't have a menu but they have a few staples that customers always ask for. The collagen soup that they boil for 6hrs, foie gras bun and their fried noodles. Call to make a reservation, inform them of likes and dislikes, allergies and a price. The chef will then plan according to your needs. As we left the chef to create a menu for us, we tasted their soup and oh mine! It tasted so rich, so fulfilling even though it was boiled with kampong chicken. We also had the fried scallop and sea cucumber, fried to perfection! The sauce was just amazing! Next up we had the steam fish. Although it was a big fish, the meat wasn't too hard, steamed in their own special sauce. Lobster was next. The lobster head was fried and i could just eat it all! Last dish was the abalone with rice. Not just any rice but it was steamed with mushroom that made it so fragrant! Although it was just a few dishes but we were so full! If you realized our dishes are all seafood! Next time round we will try some meat and veg! Our dinner was value for money! This restaurant is also popular with family gathering! Good dishes and local taste when low in customers. Beware that if the restaurant is full and busy, the possibility of the dishes not nice is higher and can get a bit loud with full of people echoes. Low volume of people will be the ideal place to eat nice home cook.

This place is open by a young chef. He is the owner and chef, so do expect the service to be a bit slow as he is the only person cooking. They have recently moved to a new location and now private rooms are available (with karaoke). Strongly recommend making reservation in advance. Love their fried rice with Edamame, fish lip chicken soup (must order in advance), hot plate Iberico pork, Pear and walnut soup, braised fish maw, mushrooms and abalone. Probably the most elegant Chinese restaurant in Malacca, serving noteworthy dishes. Try Chef Yee’s sous vide chicken, his truffle Yee Mee and his many glorious soups.
