The food was outstanding! I'd recommend the Red Dragon Roll. Their ginger salad dressing is fire. Everything was so good. I'll be coming back for sure. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Yamato, the celestial realm of sushi perfection in Galveston, Texas, left me utterly enchanted. A culinary voyage guided by masterful artisans who wielded their knives like samurai swords, crafting edible masterpieces that danced on my taste buds. Each morsel was a symphony of flavors, a gastronomic sonnet composed with the freshest ingredients. The ambiance, a fusion of elegance and tranquility, elevated the dining experience to an otherworldly level. Yamato isn't just a sushi haven; it's a celestial sanctuary where taste transcends boundaries. Prepare for a gastronomic odyssey that will leave you starry-eyed—undoubtedly deserving of a five-star constellation of praise. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My husband and I went there over the weekend for the first time and really enjoyed it. We had great service from both the waitress and the chef, and got some really good food for the price. We did the meal for 2, and each got miso soup, salad, fried rice, chicken, steak, shrimp, and vegetables all for $68. It was more then plenty and we had enough to take home for another meal. We will definitely go back here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wonderful first experience here on Christmas eve. Several members of our family had never been to a hibachi before. Everyone had a great time and full of laughs. Highly recommend the delicious baby Octopus and Sumo Roll! Incredibly good. Hibachi chicken, shrimp and steak were all good. Fantastic service! We will be back. They have been in operation for over 34 years. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Shrimp and Chicken Hibachi

Great food, lovely service and it’s easy to get lost in the experience and forget you shouldn’t eat everything on the menu 😅. I had the Teriaki beef and prawns and sampled other dishes from others in my party and everything tasted divine. There’s also a nice fresh feel to the food. It’s cooked infront of you so you know what’s going into your body. They also have one of the best salad dressings I’ve tasted. I’d 100% recommend Yamato especially if you’re dinning with company Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Sashimi Platter
We came to the restaurant for my birthday, expected a great experience and food since there are so many 5 star reviews. We walked in, it took 10 minutes to get seated once they asked an older woman on a cane to move so we could sit down at the table she was at in the front of the restaurant. We all talked about sitting at the bar instead, but none of us felt comfortable enough to do so, because one of the workers who stood right behind the bar had been staring at us since we had walked in, like he had never seen women before. About 20 minutes goes by, They get our drink order, as our waiter brings them to us, another person comes and asks us to get up from that table and move. We get sat at an hibachi table with another family. None of us were getting hibachi. Mind you, that worker behind the bar, had been staring until we got moved to the hibachi table. Another waiter comes to us and we order some food finally. They serve us soup, and no utensils. It took over 10 minutes to get them. About 25 minutes later, the entire table has their food. Except for me. At this point we’ve had 5 different waiters, all ask me what I’ve ordered. I never got my food until the 7 people at my table were finished eating and we were all receiving our checks. This place makes you feel uncomfortable, the prices are a little high for the poor service and food. We were all so very disappointed in the entire experience. Pricey but good atmosphere and service :) The grasshopper roll was very fresh and tasty. The chef had interactive activities and the servers were attentive. The fried rice was delicious, but I wasn’t too big a fan of the teriyaki chicken. I recommend trying the other options :) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
