Great restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the city, cars and apartment buildings. Next to the sea with very good service and quality food, I highly recommend it!

For our large group, this place was fine and the prices weren’t too excessive, although still pricy once you factor in the cubierto too. But the bread and sauce was spectacular.
The chivito I ordered was fine. The egg’s flavor overpowered it though, so maybe the meat needed a little more seasoning to take over.
Wonderful place. Right in front of the Ocean. I even saw a Eubalaena australis, "ballena franca" passing by about a month ago, wonderful creatures. And the food is delicious, so again I went today and bought to take away a Basque style stripe "Raya a la vasca". And it was delicious. While waiting I ordered some red wine in remembrance of going there with my dear friends. I highly recommend this restaurant for its food, for the views and for the nice waiters. And also for the owner always present to supervise all is fine with his customers.

Amazing night! The place is cozy and beautiful and the food is absolutely incredible. We ordered pasta, meat and salad and all of them were very good. The price is fair too. Love it

Do you have a favorite place that your family would always go to on a weekend afternoon when you were a kid? The Yacht Club, located behind Artico on the port at Punta del Este, is that kind of place. It has been in the same location for decades, preparing dependably good food.
There is a lot.of outdoor seating, so you are practically guaranteed a good seat with a view of the harbor. We went with a large group, and the graciously seated us in prime position under the umbrellas. It felt vaguely European.
The food was good - not great; otherwise I would rate this more highly. I had ceviche, which lacked the kick of some Leche de Tigre, so I missed the Peruvian kick. It had healthy portions of dill and the fish was ultra-fresh, but it came across, to me, as more of an ok starter (bland, but nice) than a creative culinary twist. Would have been better in fresh fish tacos (something Uruguay could really rock).
Your mileage may vary, though: at least one of our party thought it was sensational! We also tried the milanesa, grilled rack of lamb, chivito, grilled brótola, and pasta. No one raved about his/her dish, but we all agreed they were all quite good. The person who ordered the lamb was especially complementary.
For me, this is a restaurant perfect for big groups, where everyone can find something to enjoy, and to while away a nice afternoon in Punta.
Three stats seem too few, given how enjoyable our afternoon was, but 4 seem too many, given that the food could have been better. For me, this is one of the better places in the port area, and certainly a place I will return to, to enjoy an old school meal.
Recommended for large gatherings and a long lunch. Buen provecho!
My meal was apparently the only decent meal at the table. Get the risotto, and skip everything else. This was a one star meal, but i am giving a two star review since the restaurant took several items off of our bill for being incorrect or just plain bad.
And above all, a mime showed up.
There was a mime.
Food was awful, served incomplete (half empty plates with cold food), service was bad. And they sent a mime to the table to try to distract from it all. Would not recommend.
