I went out of my way to play pool at widow brown's since the nearby tables were full but upon entering the establishment I was presented with disrespect I've never experienced upon walking into any establishment. When I was being greeted in I was instantly asked for ID which I understand and joked about looking young. Steven asked me to take out said ID which I did and handed to him joking he'd have to scan it not realizing this would upset him to the point of not only refusing service, but completely disrespecting me and patronizing me. I kept asking why I could not get service and it was because of said jokes which he did not like. I apologized profusely several times since I am well above the age of 21 but he insisted on being rude, condescending, and making a scene at the bar to the point of me ending up in tears because I genuinely did not understand the hostility or reasoning for a lack of service then in turn i obviously ended up being emotional and feeling forced to leave.. I hope other people don't have the same experience upon entering this establishment. Future note: don't make jokes with the bartender. I truly wish I did not have to deal with someone so childish that felt the need to make mocking faces and be so rude over a joke that I had not realized would cause such offense and futilely attempted to take back said joke in order to diffuse a situation that only resulted in this. All I can say is I'm glad I did not give this man a cent of my money and I hope he stops projecting his problems onto potential customers. Needless to say the establishment was not very busy for a Friday for a reason and I honestly feel as though he did this because he did not want to stay open later. I never write bad reviews but I have never felt so upset or disrespected by anyone let alone someone I was trying to give my money to. I wish he had an ounce of self awareness or empathy.
