I had the short ribs. It was tender but dry, not enough gravy. The puree was forgettable, not even sure if it was potato. The desert was the chocolate... something, it was dry and bland. The drinks were good. I sat at the bar, and when the food came out, she dropped it and left. I asked for pepper from the bartender, never got it , I got it from another waitress. Well done, service was outstanding (Saturday 6:45 pm) Deysha (?) was our server. Appetizers were on point and as described in the menus. Main course, Freebird “brick” chicken was fantastic! We also had shrimp scampi and it was textbook with flare. Relaxing and enjoyable, staff was friendly and courteous!! I used to eat at the university city location all the time so I was excited to see that White Dog Cafe has expanded into the suburbs. If you have never experienced White Dog Cafe I highly recommend that you give it a try. This location was just as good as the Philadelphia location. I was impressed and here is why: 1. The food was fantastic, high quality and delicious. Exactly how I remember. 2. There is parking and it’s easy to get to! This was a plus. Being able to park right at the restaurant and not having to worry about that is huge! 3. Service was fantastic. We were later in our visit and there was no rushing out the door. Very classy and just an all around wonderful experience. 4. The dogs 5. You can book a table to reserve right on google. If you want to get a sense of the place feel free to look at my photos.
