Told us they were at capacity when there was several empty tables and bar stools. What kind of bar doesn’t let you stand by the bar and have a drink? It’s like they hate making money. Went the night before and the cocktails were mid at best, better off going to one of the other 12 bars within a 3 minute walk. Service Dine in Meal type Other Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
We went there twice. The first time I ordered a cocktail that contained "Chartreuse." I watched as the cocktail was made and they used Genepy. While I understand Chartreuse is hard to source right now, I'm also paying a premium cocktail price for premium spirits, if you don't have the ingredient you should be up front about that, change your the menu or decrease the price. The second time the experience was much worse. We arrived with 7 people to find several empty seats at the bar, two empty two tops and an empty four top. We were told despite our offer to split up or to simply stand at the bar that they were was "at capacity" and it was a "numbers thing" and that they could not accommodate us. This was at 7:30PM. The place was half full. Needless to say that is the last time we will be visiting. There are multiple better cocktail establishments in town. The Gryphen, Drink, and Devil Takes a Holiday to name a few within walking distance. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Service Dine in Meal type Other Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
The moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome & a smile. Mike served us the entire time, he was attentive, friendly and very accommodating. What a wonderful personality he had and gave us some interesting history about the place as well. We can’t wait to go back. They had nice cocktails & whiskeys, food was proper. I recommend trying this place out, it has a laidback vibe to it. They have a fireplace to the left when you come in. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Wings
The food and the drinks were delicious, the place has a really nice ambience. However, we had the rudest service here. We stepped in and we were told nothing was open, and we should try the bar next door, which is also crowded. When we asked if we could wait we got....no answer. Another couple graciously let us share a table with them but we were promptly ignored all night. All the tables around us were getting bused and attended to, and they would ignore us. It was so bizarre! I have no desire to come back, despite the great food and drinks. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Everything Pretzel Rods
