The younger guy behind the bar was treating me like I was a nuance because I wasn't a local.
There is no reason to have beef with a hungry guy ordering breakfast and a coffee but he didn't make me feel welcomed and somebody needs to be the one to tell him.

Super busy place! We were driving by on the Interstate back to Canada and we wanted a 'hot' breakfast! Most places usually serve breakfast until 11:00. I went on Google maps and asked for cafes near me. On the map, this was our closest shot! This location is right in the heart of downtown. OMG, what a popular place! People were waiting outside to get their name called for a table. That DID NOT change our mind to look for a different place as it was 10:30 when we walked in. The waitress that met us informed us that there was NO tables open but the along the bar there was lots of seating. I was with an elder and I told the waitress "we would wait!" As we were sitting on a bench inside the restaurant an older hostess came by and asked me how long we've been waiting? She got everything moving immediately! We were seated within a couple of minutes. After we got our orders in, I took a short video of the interior. It is full of lots of history and beautiful artwork 😍 Breakfast was absolutely delicious 😋 The service was great despite how busy it was -- probably their busiest part of the day for the cafe!

Awesome breakfast burrito to-go (hash browns too). Took my family there to attempt to dine-in (mid-week, mid-morning) and it was a 45 min wait (we left). I’m sure the folks there are nice, but we waited >5 min at the front door before we got acknowledged because they were busy. Ended up going somewhere else, but still recommend their food to-go.

Breakfast Burrito with Sausage
I was hoping for a coffee shop but Western Cafe held up to its name and is indeed a cafe. So instead of coffee and a couple of hours of wifi, I had coffee and a fantastic omelet and enjoyed my breakfast.
Super service from a friendly waitress and a delicious large omelet with a big pile of potatoes. There's no Waffle House out here in Montana, so we'll just make do with what we have. Yum!

Love this dive old school western diner like restaurant that just keeps serving up hot and delicious food. The decor is cowboy and the servers are fast and friendly. It’s at the end of the Main Street hustle and bustle so a little bit of a walk from the heart of Bozeman, but certainly walkable and well worth it. Go early because it is not that big and the locals and the tourists alike all love it!

My husband and I stopped in to The Western a cafe hoping to have a quick breakfast before an appointment and they did not disappoint! We were seated immediately, had our order taken within 5 minutes and our food brought out in under 10 minutes. I had eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast and my husband had an omelet. Everything was delicious and the waitresses were all very friendly. The entire experience from seating to checking out took less than 30 minutes! It was a Tuesday morning around 7:00 AM. I look forward to going again when we have time to relax and really spend time looking at the menu.

This is one of my favorite breakfast haunts. Old school family dinner with delicious scratch made food. I have never been here when there hasn't been at least a twenty minute wait. But well worth it... we love the homemade cinnamon rolls, which always sell out of you come late. The chicken fried steak is tasty, and the other breakfast plates are wonderful as well. Coffee is always hot and strong and the service friendly.

💯🇺🇸If you're nostalgic about the 70's & 80's then this is your place; great food, very nice people, great service and both kinds of music (country AND western). Top notch chicken fried steak and eggs
