Adorable burger joint in Rockwall downtown. The burgers were delicious and the buns grilled. The fries were seasoned and hot. We also had some of their homemade chocolate pie and peach cobbler and they were so good! The prices are expensive—one burger alone is about $10, but the quality is very good! Burger was fantastic. Mushrooms and Swiss were perfect amounts. Hot dogs are high quality and fries are good. Only one restroom so a wait, but clean and tidy considering everyone used it. Friendly and obvious they care about their customers. The only complaint (if you wanna call it that) is at the register it’s a little confusing when ordering. She didn’t really explain how it works lol. Parking lot is super narrow careful pulling out. Overall a great find!!! Great Burgers! Just off the historic downtown square in Rockwall is a little house with outstanding food! They raise cattle and serve beef like you grew up on . The menu is simple but packed with deliciousness. The bun is branded- a nice touch. The veggies are farm fresh and you can taste the difference. Homemade pies and desserts. The atmosphere is augmented by the wooden furniture and walls decorated with stories and pictures. What a dining experience and I highly recommend you see for yourself. Best classic burgers available regularly in rockwall! Small home turned into restaurant gives this place such a great small-town vibe. They use their own cattle for the meat here, and it's fantastic! Cheese fries are delicious and fully loaded. Didn't get to try the desert, but they look fantastic and definitely southern deserts! Both times I've been has been splendid. Please come when you aren't in a rush and truly enjoy this truly splendid place. Workers are super nice and helpful and patient! Great merchandise! Will be coming back again and again for sure. From the outside it looks like a little house. On the inside. It feels like a little house on the prairie that you're supposed to eat burgers in. The meat tastes fresh, the service was so fast. I got my food almost quicker than I could sit down. Even though it cost me $20 for a drink fries and a burger, I got to build the burger of my choice to my liking. The meat seemed to be fresh and not frozen. The cheese was delectable and melted perfectly on top of my burger. The fries were absolutely crispy and had the best seasoning. And their sweet tea tasted like Grandma's sweet tea. Totally worth the money to spend for a burger fries and a drink. Atmosphere was perfect sitting out on the patio. AMAZING!! experience. By far the best burger I ever had. Sooo delicious. All food tasted soo good..can't express enough how good this place is. They really take pride on their product. Also tried the desert. Totally recommend the Strawberry 🍓 shake and the chocolate sheet cake with all the fixings. Delicious 😋. Thank you Mr. Lee (the owner) for your hospitality. My wife and I are new to the area and when I tell you that we were welcomed and treated like family I believe that wouldn’t be saying enough. The service was great, the food was superb and the atmosphere was excellent! The food was extremely fresh and also very filling. Tina took the time to recommend some of the favorites and we were not disappointed. We had burgers and hot dogs and everything was very very good. What a great place! We ordered cheese burgers and shared an order of fries, which was too big to finish. The burgers were cooked perfectly, one of the best patties I’ve ever had. The buns were perfect and all the fixings were fresh! Great atmosphere & friendly service. We’ll definitely be back! This was our first time here. Burgers were huge and tasty. While I prefer a bit more seasoning on mine, there was no doubt that this was not your ordinary ground beef. I am used to pasture beef as our family used to have cattle. Next time I want to try a hot dog. Fries were a bit soggy but seasoned as well. My husband and I could have split one combo order. Everyone was friendly and helpful The owner greeted us and asked how we liked it before we left. You can tell they have regulars and that the staff knew their regulars. In my book that is important to note. We will be back as we haven't yet tried the hotdogs or the pie. In addition, I will certainly be back for hamburger meat which they also have for sale reasonably priced in a cooler near the door, as I miss pasture raised beef after having it for years. I’ve been to Wells numerous times and can’t believe I haven’t done a review yet! This place is wonderful! The food here is top notch. Several options to choose from, but I usually get a burger & fries. A lot of options and way to dress up your burger. All beef patties are 1/3 lb., never frozen. Bacon is crispy, but not burnt, and their Swiss cheese is now REAL Swiss cheese!! The ranch! Not really too big of a deal, but this ranch is made at the restaurant, not bought and poured out of a bottle. Great for dipping your fries into! Lee Wells loves his craft, he’s great at it, he loves his community and you’ll even find him dining at his competitors restaurants at times and leaving great reviews (I’ve noticed).
