We visited Watermark for the first time and were fortunate to have made it before they closed. We had reservations and were promptly greeted and seated by a hospitable host. Our waiter, Hayden, was knowledgeable and provided excellent suggestions. He checked on us just enough to make us feel well cared for without being intrusive. The food was fantastic; I particularly enjoyed the meatloaf Wellington and the chocolate torte. My partner ordered the Key Lime Napoleon, which was so delicious that I wish I had ordered it, too. Thank you, Watermark, for a wonderful experience. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Key Lime Napoleon
Amazing experience! My wife and I went here for a fun date night and it was a perfect evening. We love trying fun custom cocktails. My wife found a new favorite: Frosted Kiss. The service was outstanding! Our server had a great personality and was very personable. The food was delicious. I do recommend ordering the "twin filets" if you're going for a filet minon since they're very small individually. The salmon was also very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Great seasonal menu that rotates throughout the year. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Chef/owner Maria Walusis has done an amazing job with Watermark. The very comfortable atmosphere is exceeded only by the delightful menu. Always available is the "chef's whim" as well as seasonal specialties. Right now, it's a Veal Schnitzel that compares quite favorably with any I have ever had during my many trips to Germany. The Great Miami Burger is probably the best in the entire Dayton area, even including the one at The Pine Club. And the Wellington Meat Loaf is great comfort food. Excellent bar choices, too. I went here for restaurant week and the food was incredible!! I was practically licking the plate. I got the boudin balls, shrimp and grits, and bread pudding to eat and the Sage Advice to drink. I love the decor/ambiance of the restaurant as well. The staff was SUPER friendly and attentive. Just an all around fantastic dining experience. I can’t wait to come back.

Had a reservation for 7:30. Was very excited as we had never been before. Got there was told the kitchen was backed up would we mind having a seat at the bar!! Absolutely no problem we will get a drink before dinner. Sit at the bar 2 people walk past even the person in the yellow leather jacket that told us kitchen was backed up !! never even look at us or as asked us if we would like a drink. Absolutely terrible customer service. Definitely not somewhere I will be in a hurry to return to. It was not till we got up to walk out that someone noticed!!! A bit late . This is a restaurant my family and I have visited many times. We have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. My sister even had her bridal shower here. Tonight while dining, the server (Michael) opened the check envelope and questioned our tip in front of my family and I, to our face. We tipped near 20% on the food and drink. We did however purchase a gift card, which we did not tip on, as it required no effort by the server himself (I work as a server at a restaurant and do not expect tips on gift cards, especially when they total high amounts such as $50+). The server (Michael) opened our check in front of us before we left and said “well it says only 10%?”. This is extremely unprofessional, as we gave him a very generous amount on the food and drink tab. This left my parents and our family embarrassed. It is astonishing that a service worker who is being tipped on a bill over $100 questions our tip and shows petty behavior when all they did is bring one round of drink and one round of food dishes. When we told him we tipped on the food and drink and not gift card, he said “it’s fine” and walked away. I would like to note that this is a man over 60 years of age. This is a horrible representation of the restaurant and we will not be returning strictly on his behavior, which is disappointing as we love the food at watermark and love to support local businesses. This is an excellent place for brunch that is ordered from a menu. All freshly cooked by their chef/owner. Reservations recommended. I ordered the Crab Cake bowl that was served with a soft egg, and crab cake underneath. Every bite was delicious. It was surrounded by freshly made grits with homemade pimento cheese with a tomato based seasoning that was the garnish. The Bloody Mary and Mimosa were excellent too.
Our food, waiter and atomsphere were exquisite! We were all thoroughly impressed from the moment we walked in the door. Everything was unique. The French martini and mixed to perfection. J. Alexanders was my favorite restaurant and now it's Watermark! Compliments to the chef and staff. This is a birthday to remember!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We had a wedding rehearsal dinner (over 30 people) there and everything was excellent! Working with Chef Maria was wonderful! She helped make everything just what we wanted and was flexible and accommodating to our needs. The appetizers were wonderful and the meals were delicious! We had great service, too! We will definitely go back when we visit the Dayton area! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Bao Buns
