Can't recommend this restaurant enough. We dine in frequently and have used their catering for family events as well. The food is spectacular and you will never have to worry about sub-par service. They have really gone done hill in the past couple years. I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and will never go back there food is horrible the last three times I've been there and the restaurant itself was empty looks like there closing up for good. Just went here for lunch with my boyfriend. The food was bland and tasteless. Even the applesauce that came with my meal was so tasteless I almost spit it out. My boyfriend got a burger that didn't taste good, no seasoning of any kind, not even so much as salt and pepper. But now 2 hours later he's sick and I'm taking care of him. Obviously his burger wasn't cooked right or overall the kitchen staff isn't very sanitary. Not to mention our waitress was a little snippy with my boyfriend when he was ordering his burger. I had high hopes for this place because of the beautiful atmosphere but it was awful. Never eating here again. We have been coming to the Waterloo for years and yesterday’s meal was one of the best we’ve had. We had a large party (8)- the service was great and the food was excellent. We had everything ranging from the Mediterranean salad to the bison burger and everything was delicious. The sauerkraut balls were amazing. The holiday decorations added such a fun touch and my kids were in love with the Grinch themed Christmas trees! We will be going back again soon! You don't find restaurants like this much anymore. I ate here for the first time about 4 months ago and have returned 10-12 times since. The food is "homemade" and they offer traditional dishes but always some exciting twists too. Everyone is kind, and the restaurant is kept clean with ample close parking. Food was outstanding I had the fish tacos. I also recommend the fried chicken and the desserts are all homemade and delicious. We loved our server, it seems as if all the servers help each other . Service was great, the food was timely and the Christmas decorations are beautiful! I definitely recommend this restaurant.
