It pains me to write this because we have always been a HUGE fan of Water Street Kitchen (and the Fishmonger before that). First, the service was impeccable, sweet but professional attitude, informative, attentive, absolutely no complaints there. But the food was average at best. The baked oysters were just too oily - I understand duck fat and scallion oil is involved, but it was overdone. The bread ($10!!!!) was dry and flavorless, and the radish butter was hard and tasteless - the radish provided nothing but a color embellishment. The Atlantic Char was overcooked, and the accompanying beets were like something out of a can, but the Yukon potatoes were superb. The monkfish katsu was too soft and mushy - Monkfish should have a lobster fail feel to it. The cabbage and rice was okay, but expected more umami. The martini was excellent and the Aquatic Brewing double IPA was extraordinary - and we love the idea of supporting local craft brews. NOTE: We have had katsu before, but there should at least be a mention on the menu that katsu is fried for people who are unfamiliar with the cooking process and it could present some issues for some patrons. Oh my goodness……I loved this restaurant so much. The food was incredible, absolutely incredible. The dishes were so unique. I mean, house-made Jalapeño Ginger soda? Genius!! Service was wonderful - the waiter was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and provided some background around the chef. If you are in the Cape Cod area, you need to go here. Be sure to make a reservation!!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Water Street Kitchen is always a 10/10. Best restaurant in Woods Hole or Falmouth. Location and ambiance is stellar, you sit right on the water and views are beautiful. The food is always incredible. Bluefish pate, rosemary focaccia, and duck confit are unreal. Can’t recommend enough. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100

The food was amazing! I had the steak and was not disappointed. The service was a big plus! We did not have a reservation and simply walked in. After putting our names down on the list we went elsewhere for a drink but our table was ready earlier than anticipated. We rush our drinks but still made it too late. Yet, they did their best to accommodate us and find a new table. If was very appreciated. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The best meal I have had on the Cape to date. There are a number of places on the Cape that make food that the Cape is famous for: fried seafood, lobster rolls - all of it delicious. This is a spot that takes pride in ingredient-driven, creative and sophisticated food. With zero pretention. The service was super attentive with no stuffiness. The ambiance was warm and cozy. And the food was spectacular. I chose the Bluefish Pâté which was unctuous and not "fishy" at all (given that Bluefish can be particularly oily and fishy) with garlic toast, homemade pickles and some really nice spicy whole grain mustard. Then a Haddock, white bean and oyster mushroom dish that ate like a warm and delicious stew. The Parmesan broth and house cured pancetta were a great balance and full of umami! The wines by the glass were interesting and the list carefully selected (choosing between a Sancerre and a Txakoli was tough as I love both! I went with the Philippe Girard Sancerre) Even though stuffed, I had to try the Spiced Pear Sorbet which was fantastic. This is food by people who obviously care about provenance, using locally sourced ingredients and you can taste it in every bite. I will definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I went for my birthday with my mom. Everything was amazing, from the service to the food, to the ambiance ! My mom and I think these are the best scallops we’ve ever had. They were seared on one side and perfectly buttery soft on the inside. I will be returning 100% anytime I’m in the area.
We had a wonderful experience at Water Street Kitchen. I had the tuna nicoise salad. The tuna was tender and bursting with flavor. Our server was warm, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. They work as a team and it shows from the attention to detail and the calm and courteous staff. We couldn't resist coffee and dessert which was equally fabulous!
Spectacular dining experience! Our server Ray was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the menu very well, described the locally sourced ingredients and also told us an amusing story about the rocks used to hold down the napkins. The first nice touch was that when our drinks came, the person who brought them (not Ray) knew who got which drink without asking. We started with the grilled Sippewisset oysters and shishito peppers, both were delicious. Our entrees were the haddock, duck breast and leg, and tuna Nicoise. Dessert was strawberry rhubarb hand pie with lemon merengue and berries, all incredible.
