On Sunday, Jan 21, 2024, I went to my local Walmart to get a leaking tire repaired. They told me that they couldn't repair it and I needed new tires. They did not have what I wanted, so the TLE Center suggested I go online and order from Walmart .com. I ordered the size they said I needed and received them a few days later. Fast forward to Friday 1/26/24. I have never been treated so badly in my life, by any retailer. Team lead Jean Claude screamed at me across the service department about the order of tires that was incorrect. I had ordered the size their tire center said I needed. I was shipped a different size. Apparently, local Walmarts do not want anything to do with online orders, even though you order through Walmarts website and the money is taken off your card by Walmart corporation.
Clanton Walmart took the tires and sent them back for me. I had a tracking number. 5 days later, they were still not shown as picked up. I called the Clanton Walmart and spoke with ACC Manager Laketia, who very nastily told me that they didn't have anything to do with this. It was online and not any of their problem. I asked if maybe since they had the tires that they should call FedEx before they got stolen and request that they are picked up. (Still not her job).
I phoned the online customer service who managed to make things happen.
I finally received my refund of $713.00 on Friday 2/9/24, 3 weeks after this entire thing started. You don't get your money back from an online 3rd party seller until the goods are back in their possession, and they process the refund.
BIG LESSON LEARNED!
Walmart needs to move Team lead Jean Claude and AOC Manager Laketia back to where ever they came from. We just don't treat people like they treated me in this small community.
I finally got a local tire center to repair my flat (that Walmart said couldn't be repaired).
I also am happy to say that while Jean Claude screaming at me & humiliating me in front of 20 + people I promised him that there was nothing in that store that I couldn't buy elsewhere, either local or at Amazon. I have kept my word and not set foot in any Walmart establishment, either here or in Calera/ Bham.
Walmart redefined shopping and killed customer service. Some things are worth the money. Do better, Walmart!
I always get the box of 60 eggs. They were never cracked until I got them recently. 3 eggs were busted on top and when I raised the top egg holder 3 more eggs was busted on the bottom. It was a mess. I don't understand why stuff here gets broken but I never open the 60 eggs box till I get home. The box has tape over it. Eggs are sky high now.
Overall, a good place to get everything you need in one stop. This Walmart is not as up-to-date or as nice as other Walmarts. I have never had any major issues here. The customer service workers are fantastic. I order lots of clothing online and they make returning things that don't fit easy!
The selection of items is not that great to be a super center. The grocery pickup is horrible. Most of the time, you don't get your complete order, and they have to re pick it. Several times, I have had to wait over an hour for my order. It's not worth it. It's so much easier to go inside and get it yourself.
My mom and I are both disabled and check out is such a hassle! Oh but today was so much different! We were both exhausted and pulled up to self checkout and an angel greeted us in the form of the self checkout assistant Julie! She did everything for us and did it with a smile! She was such a a breath of fresh air amongst the chaos of the holiday season! If you ever find yourself in our situation, look for Julie and I guarantee your day will be better instantly! She deserves and award!!
As usual, finding an employee, asking for help and getting it was nearly impossible. I dared to asked if I could have some assistance to have paint mixed. After an eye roll and a big sigh. I was told, it was not their department. This one was leaning against a wall, on their cell phone. Turning down another 4 isles. I found another one talking to a fellow employee. Asked for assistance again. Again, I was told, it was not their department. But that they would page them. I walked back to the paint counter after hearing the page, waited 30 minutes before the first employee that I had encountered, walked up to the counter. In a very rude manner, asked what I needed. I told them I needed paint mixed and that I had just told her almost an hr ago that I needed paint mix and she had told me that it wasn't her department. She stated that she had been on break and that when she's on break, it is not her department. I was stunned, turned and walked away. I used to love to go to Walmart but I'll not go back to that one.
Standard walmart experience. Don't expect help from employees and try not to get run over by the ones running through the already cramped overcrowded isles with huge carts collecting items for the people who are too lazy to come in and do their own shopping. This particular location was somewhat cleaner than most but it's a pretty low bar so don't go expecting much.
I hate going to Walmart and I'd give it no stars if I had the option. If you want me to check myself out then check my receipt I'll make it as difficult for you as I possibly can also. 4 employees at self checkout each side would open 6 or 7 cashiers and 2 people with a city cop (whoa Selma what's up with that). Text that receipt and tell them your phone is at home
