Horrible experience. I was at the bakery and picked out the cake from the book.
I waited about 20 minutes or so, the woman was on the phone taking an order, and no others offered help. I left. An hour drive from my home. I called the next day, a Wednesday i believe. I described the cake, she found it in the book, she asked all the cake details and I ordered it. It was for Sunday, but I said I would prefer Saturday in case something went wrong...
It was a birthday cake for a birthday celebration, with many family members in a church hall after service. I arranged to pick it up around 11 am. on Saturday.
When i went to pick it up, there was no cake, not even an order for it. I showed the woman from my phone the 2 calls to the bakery regarding the order.
She asked me the details for the cake, and if I wanted to go home and come back later to pick it up...no....I would wait. If I had set it up for Sunday morning pick up, I would have no cake for about 50 people. I will never order a cake from there again. It looked nothing like the picture, a d I still ended up with a cake half the size I ordered, after confirming 2x what size I needed.
The woman did her best to rectify the problem, she was very sweet, and discounted the cake, but it was still not the right size...so I just paid and left.
