Atmosphere was way too dark for 1 pm on a Friday. Server was busy as there were only 2, but visited the table beside us almost twice as often as ours. When he came by he was excellent, just not very attentive to us even after waving at him and making eye contact. Sushi was fantastic, as was the salad with house ginger dressing, but the chicken teriyaki and rice were subpar. I HIGHLY recommend!!!! From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but as soon as you walk in it is as if you’ve been transported out of the country. The service is so friendly and inviting it felt like we were at a friend’s home. And the food is top notch! You can tell the chef’s are passionate and value great quality and excellence, because you can taste it through the food. We had a dinner box w/ bulgogi & a Bulgogi dinner (12oz meat). We couldn’t believe how delicious every single item was! And coupled with the atmosphere..it is so relaxing and peaceful we left their feeling like we had just went to a spa. Seriously. It was our first visit and there will be many more trips to Wakyoto Japanese Restaurant in the future!
