Customer service was so poor I didn’t even get to taste the food. I was waiting with my husband and four children. I sent my teens to sit at the bar because a booth close by was empty but just needed to be cleaned (as were two other booths). The waitress told my sons they needed to give her a minute (I assume there were plates that needed to be moved but I didn’t see any). She then checks out a customer and dallies around behind the counter. She goes to clean the table and periodically glares at me as she cleans. I’m waiting for her to say the table is ready but when I look up she’s behind the counter again glaring at me. I typically eat at Waffle House whenever I visit SC because it’s a cheap meal and I can usually match the tip to whatever my check is. I told my husband I would not leave that lady the trash on my plate! We walked out. Grateful there are ppl who’ve experienced better because this was lacking all the southern hospitality I grew up seeing Service: 1

We had the absolutely best experience at Waffle House. We came in at 6am on NYE and was greeted by the happiest, most genuine woman I've ever met in my life. I sincerely regret not being able to remember her name. She knew everyone, sang to all of the songs, was kind and sweet to her coworkers. She is a gift to her community and Waffle House. Great breakfast great service fast service friendly place to eat clean place to eat even had jokes about hat day. The cook was professional. We were visiting here from Charlotte North Carolina we stop here on our way back home. And the next time we visit Charleston we will definitely stop here for breakfast. I ordered plain hashbrowns and when I got them they tasted like onions. After I tasted them I watched the cook. No matter what she was cooking she never wiped her spatula or cleaned the onions off her grill. I do not recommend that Waffle House. My first time at a Waffle House, AND IT WAS AMAZING. Best eggs and hash browns I've ever had. Greasy, to be sure, but the best nonetheless. Pecan waffle did not disappoint. Food came out fast, and it was cheap. Music on the jukebox took me back to a better time in America while I enjoyed my fine meal that I washed down with a sweet tea-monade, and a chocolate milk.
