These waffles hit the spot. They were nice and warm, expensive but that's expected on the mountain. Service was great with a smile and all goes to a great cause. The only reason they lost a star was that they were out of maple topping.

Is it a "real" Belgian waffle or "half" of one? The menu says real but you only get half a waffle. I get it, I'm at a resort and everything is expensive. I'd just rather pay $8.50 and actually get a whole waffle than pay $4.25 for what is supposedly a "real" waffle. Also, they put syrup on it and just hand the syrup-soaked waffle to you with a thin napkin wrapped around it...which then obviously gets stuck to it and you either end up eating some napkin pieces or throwing away some expensive waffle pieces. Think how messy waffles on a plate can be. Now, add a ton of ski or snowboard gear, take away the plate, and take away the four walls & roof (i.e., it's all outside). This is a recipe for a complete mess. The waffle did taste good and it is kind of cool to just go right up to the stand and get some waffles, coffee, hot cocoa, etc., but the whole situation could be improved and it's pretty deceptive in my opinion.
Yum! Best waffle I’ve had since our trip to Belgium 10 years ago and makes me want to take out my waffle maker at home and find a similar recipe. Includes maple syrup “free- we’re in VT!”
